It's worth having a look on youtube at the Waratahs v Fiji Warriors game. Very impressive with the ball in hand. A few quality offloads as well

Form in that game shouldn't be weighted any better than a particularly handy captains run.
It isn't that it wasn't good to watch and a decent indicator, but it isn't the be-all and end-all.

I will speak up and admit that I thought Digby was nothing more than fast with a bit of strength. Thought he couldn't catch, turn and chase, couldn't pass, couldn't kick. Well that's all changed. I know Robbie got him in as some sort of project player, and he's now arguably the best 13 in the country, let alone winger.

Perhaps Robbie will do something similar with NN?

Diggers already had a Wallaby cap when Deans came in. He was a project but he had experience and a couple of years of S14 starts.

NN hasn't proven himself in Shute Shield let alone S14. You can't give a guy a wallaby squad spot because is faster than the average big-fella.

Yeah Eddie had digby walking around with a footy 24/7 in camp to try to improve his handling

As a loyal Queensland lad you should wash your mouth out with a cake of soap. I can't believe you've blasphemed one of Reds' favourite sons. What's the world comng to?

Sure, but NN is very young. Let's just sit back and watch him develop. The Lomu thing is a press confection.

Watched him play for Junior tahs against CASI (Argentinian Club Side) last night. Certainly looks big, fit and reasonably quick but can't perform under any pressure. Any pass that is not right on the money is dropped and as soon as he gets tackled the ball almost invariably spills forward. He could have scored 4 or 5 tries given the opportunities he had. Nowhere near S14 level yet. Betham is a much better bet.

welcome aboard topo.

Thanks for the comments. Good to here some feedback on the game.

I think Betham is a fantastic talent

Hard to judge as the opposition weren't that flash although they appeared to have a reasonable scrum and were ferocious at the breakdown in typical Argentinian fashion. Front row all went well and ended up with about 4 tight heads. Ofa came off the bench for Tilse but only lasted about 5 minutes before going off with an ankle injury. Sigg was good and Coridas seems to be getting back into form (miss the dreadies though, makes him harder to spot). McKibbin has impressed every time I have seen him and may be a viable option if Burgess and Holmes don't pull their fingers out. Seymour is young but looks to have potential. The centres struggled and consequently Rockabaro didn't get too many opportunities, which is a shame because he looks the goods and is certainly quick. Darcy was solid.
