"Other Than Australia" you hopeless shower of bastards - to @Dismal Pillock 's point, pretty poor form not having a word on here about some good clashes.

France v Uruguay this morning not quite the cakewalk many would have expected at 27-12 to Les Frogs.

France were shit. Lucky not to get a red card and also lucky they didn't concede more tries. That'll be their nadir.

Los Teros were good value but limited. Forward pack couldn't stand up when it counted but otherwise competent, and their backs kept them in it.

Edited to reflect the true nature of things.

The insular aussie rugby fans don't care about this foreign rugby malarkie now please make your way to the Queensland Reds 2026 thread where all your compatriots are.

Damn, I think a red card is a 10+ point swing. Especially early on, if Uruguay could've actually done it. Would've been beautiful.

I don't hate the ref not giving out red cards, just hope they maintain it for when a Wallaby inevitably fucks it.

They have Italy next, that should be a cracker if Uruguay can keep it up

As with all these games - which are effectively mismatches - I tend to think that the Tier 1 team will still find a way. They won by 15, after all.

Great effort by Uruguay tho.

The frogs did have a B+ team (or maybe their A - team) rather than the A team out there this morning. I think the AB's took a fair bit out of them - but hot damn, Los Teros had a good go of it.

Wow that is a good Samoan team when Sopoaga and Taufua can only make the bench. I am tipping them to upset Argies or England

Only watched the mini but France seemed a bit too respectful first half taking the 3 instead of going for touch. Managed the win but surely par was the bonus point win.

Hopefully Uruguay can keep developing...

They beat Fiji in 2019, and now a competitive showing against France, albeit a French B team, is a real confidence booster.

Its so fun watching some of the smaller teams play. I know its still professional rugby and they all want to win but it still has that club rugby feel where both teams are happy at a good hit out at the end of the day.

Lose that shit watching the Wallabies get flogged by the All Blacks every other day.
