So, it was in typhoon season after all?

I'd argue that if typhoon season runs for indeterminate length, one should prepare for the tournament to occur in..typhoon season?

Looking through wiki input on this it seems that the comp was definitely held inside the known typhoon season - albeit late in that season.

I thought it had been discussed though and Northern Hemisphere rugby calandar had to be considered? We can bitch about that, but it is an international comp where participa=nt requirements do need to be considered including NH.

If you want to get technical, yes you're right.

October is the absolute outer reaches of typhoon season. But they don't always run that late.

The olympics next year, is smack bang in the middle of peak season.

In addition to that, it's not that common for them to come up alongside the east coast and turn and go straight for tokyo.

They, in most cases hit the bottom of the country, and by the time they get to tokyo, they're pretty weak.
