True, so let's just copy them outright. That way NSW will play QLD 5 times a year (2 x S15 3 x SOO) and we will sell out all of them. That same theory worked wonders for adding new bledisloes, seeing as we now sell out 4 a year rather than just 2.

I'm not suggesting we have a state of origin, just making a point about the 'manufactured product' comment you made.

If we were to have a state of origin, I would do it more in line with the probables vs possibles, in the lead up to the November tour or lead up to the 3N. A one off game. It would still be billed as NSW vs Qld (because people will relate to that more), but it will effectively also work as a selection for the wallabies.

And at the moment, strictly speaking I would say that NSW and Qld don't play each other at all. The Waratahs play the Reds, and both have players from all over the place.

And I think if we did have one or even two 'State of Union' game per year, there is a good chance there would be 40k + crowds at them.
