Rugby-Penalty shootouts introduced for tied Super finals

It would take a miracle for this to ever happen. For this to occur there would have to be 30 minutes of even-scored rugby, in which both sides would be so tired they can barely move. Ten of those minutes are sudden death, and you would think that surely a kickable penalty would arise.

I would be interested to see it, but I very much doubt it would ever happen.

Yeah, it's never going to get that far.

(If it did go beyond the sudden death period, I'd prefer to see forcings back or British bulldog/cocky lora as the decider.)

If it gets to that stage, it would be much more interesting to see a sudden death kick-off that begins from right in front of the posts and moves out and back after each success. Teams can't choose their kickers, and it begins with the tighthead and works up the numbers to fullback!!

Maybe they could just play sudden death until one team scores so we can all relive the excitement that was the 1997 Super league Tri-series final. It will become a field goal kick fest.
