Good show, really enjoyed it. Agree with shafting JP as far as you can kick him.

Nick McCardle: "we were asked during the week by @RugbyReg, one of our regular followers, he wanted me to ask you Tim, where is Matt Giteau's position?"

Missed that bit, glad I recorded it. Let's hope the answer was 'left right out'.

yeah Horan was a good addition to the show. More of the excellent Kafer would be nice and less of the dribblers like Martin & Kearns.

Horan is a huge asset for them. Smart, very knowledgeable, articulate, threw in a few funny lines, but didn't need to smirk and wait for a "boom-tish" like JP. Great pick-up.

Yep, absolutely agree. My man-crush on Horan is still alive and well...

I usually enjoy Kearns, but did anyone else think he seemed slightly disinterested? I think he is slowly becoming a bit of a Debbie Downer....

I actually didn't mind JP too much last year. He tended to tell it how it is instead of just blindly talking things up like Marto and Kearns.

Disagree he was a one eyed brumbies tool. And Matt Giteau's boyfriend.

Sully you are probably right about the one eyed part and from what I remember, he was a bit too fond of Matt Giteau. I do stand by my comment that he was good for well deserved harsh words on occasion though (just not against the Brumbies).

The truth is JP said things everyone else was thinking but wouldn't say on television. And having the guts to do that still didn't endear him to anyone as he was a smug prick the rest of the time.

I enjoy Kearnsey's sense of humour, the man is dryyyyy.

Another +1 for getting the foreign journos on too. As long as it is Warren Brosnihan from the republic. Hugh Bladen is as interesting as wallpaper. And I don't mind TJ, but Willie Loce was good too.

I agree Charger. He was a bit of a smug prick the rest of the time. Doing the Brumbies promos probably isn't a better assignment for him though. Bros and Lose are probably the best saffa and kiwi journos they speak to.

I liked JP
Straight talker
I loved his assessment of Bakkies
I like Bakkies though. One mean hombre. Why in Australia do we despise mean and nasty players?

Why not? They're a blight on the game. That doesn't mean we don't like tough blokes.

This is probably off topic, but it doesnt deserve its own thread.

Is there actually a trophy for Super Rugby yet?

Is mean & nasty code for a gutless cheap shot merchant who does most of his shit off the ball & from behind so that they cannot defend themselves?

It makes great entertainment though
Every entertainment industry needs a villain. The bloke doesn't shirk the tough stuff, he thrives on it
It's more interesting than "Piggies and Princesses"

Can anyone remember the name of the song that was played at the end of The Rugby Club? - great song!
