After spending five hours in a session with a Marketing/Business Development person yesterday about what we should be doing in our business to network better and establish new business contacts, the announcement of this seems to be a little like:

Anyone go to this? Just when he must have thought he could show his face in public, the Tahs go and put on a 2012 performance in Canberra.

Yep, was there last night. He came across very well - although it's clear he's professional at that!

The thorny issues raised included
  • funding for clubs - he pointed out the Tahs were a separate entity from NSW rugby and that the Tahs plow back >$1m a year into NSW rugby (their license fee). He also pointed out that NSW rugby had outsourced it's community programme to the ARU a while back....
  • "entitlement culture" - yes it was there, but not there now between the boards and part of the reason Cheika was brought on board was because he certainly wouldn't stand for it

Jason was a good speaker and gave an insight into his background and what the Tahs, under his leadership, are trying to achieve. A bit of skepticism within the audience in regards to where the Tahs are heading. Many weren’t afraid to let Jason know about which he handled well.

Appreciated the chance to hear directly from Tahs CEO, but not necessarily in agreement with their execution of functions.

Did someone ask him how did Foley come about being confirmed as coach in 2013.When even Foley was suggesting he should be demoted to forwards coach?
And then how did we get gazumped for the one of the poorest performed coaches in the comp?
And lastly did anyone ask why the season review was completed before the end of the fucking year that they were reviewing?

ps Did anyone ask if he was embarrassed drawing his wage each week?

that turned out to be a bit of a rant..I feel a bit better now.
