I think most people know alot isn't a word just like it should of Rugby 7s or Rugby's 7s and not Rugby 7's.

However, this is a internet forum which is about the exchange of ideas and as long as the language is readable it should be fine. This isn't a professional publication.

Go to 4chan.org and then I think you'll be counting your blessings about the kind of language used on this forum.

Fair point, but I am a stickler for proper use of the English language most of the time. Anyway, I won't derail the thread any further.

That ad is exactly what the ARU need to be trying to do. That was awesome. Well done

Yes, in a previous business life I have. The outcome of such meetings is almost totally dependant on the senior manager in the room. If he leads well and pulls the warring factions together the process can be invigorating and the outcome outstanding. If he leads badly however......

Which is why JO'N is worth his weight in smart leather loafers and pleated chinos...

AS has been said the ad has been placed on the wallabies facebook page. Not only that but it's a massive hit on the page, 102 likes in an hour or so and some very good comments - and the ad isn't even fully polished. I think the ARU may get the point here.

Isn't it interesting how a group of enthusiastic amateurs and semi-pros can produce such great results. Modern society and technology is a truly wonderful thing :)

Their reply, what do you think BaaBaa? Some common elements...

I suppose this is building on the heroes and villains concept that was alluded to in a news article earlier in the year

The four teams in blue looks odd.
It looks like QLD has turned up for school out of uniform.

I think Barbarian did a better job. It is a ot better than some of the rubbish ads they have put out in recent times.

It is an improvement, though I think they use the soundscape to better effect to create excitement, one thing league ads do so well is accompany the shots (which the ad has picked pretty well, especially the Cooper flick) with a very busy audio track. If we are banking on the star quality of the players in that ad, why not have commentators saying/yelling their names as they perform in the ad? I think it would add something.
Either way, good start (though I still prefer barbarians)

not bad, but this has to be phase 1 of Rugby Hype for the year. First pump Super Rugby, and then move onto the international scene. As Barbarian showed, there's plenty of good footage to use
