One of those minor teething issues that would need to be sorted out before the ad goes to air..

Bruce, that kind of pedantry annoys the hell out of me. A guy puts in the effort to make a video, which was fun to watch and might get the ARU to start making decent ads, and you make a sneaky hit on the spelling. If you had written, "Good video, you need to change the spelling to Templeton" I'd be fine with it.

I apologise for offending you, Scarfman. Almost invariably I ignore misspellings as I consider it rude to correct people, but I would have thought that #1 Tah would appreciate someone drawing attention to a mistake in the title of his video which has been published on the internet. So I did so with just one word. How you interpret that as "sneaky" is beyond me.

I certainly don't feel the need to apologise to #1 Tah. In the same circumstances I would do it again in exactly the same way, then try to live with the castigation of people like you.

Woops... shows exactly how much fox sports promote it that I cant even spell it correctly... as for a reward for the cup, maybe each team can put in something like $10,000 and the winner gets $20,000 to their charity?

I'd love to make a similar vid for the Weary Dunlop Cup, unfortunately there's no prior footage.

NO. ;)

I was waiting for this suggestion to come up. The last thing Rugby needs is more professional concepts, like a cash prize.

BTW; spelling was wrong, but these are all drafts. Scarfie and Bruce, let's not have to go to mediation over something as trivial as that.

One created by Paul over at the Army. A slideshow yes, but good for pumping up the fans.

That rebels vid is the most disturbing collections of facials that can be shown on tv before 9:30.

Why is it that the ingenuity and vision of this site so completely dwarfs the efforts of what could loosely be called "professional" rugby marketing? Could it be when you don't really love the game you don't really get what's important? The "men of gold" campaign nearly induced me to throw up the first time I saw it and it didn't get any better on repeated viewing! Barbarian's effort on his home PC has atmosphere, appropriate musical theme and urgency.

The ARU needs a new agency!!!

Perhaps. But there's internal politics, pricing, psychology and a billion other issues at play that G n G R doesn't deal with.

Ever sat in on a meeting with half a dozen departments from both sides represented? Madness, I tells 'ya

Yes, in a previous business life I have. The outcome of such meetings is almost totally dependant on the senior manager in the room. If he leads well and pulls the warring factions together the process can be invigorating and the outcome outstanding. If he leads badly however......

^^^^ What Hawko said. Good leadership often overcomes that kind of petty infighting. Says a lot about the history of leadership of the ARU then...

The use of alot shits me though.

I think most people know alot isn't a word just like it should of Rugby 7s or Rugby's 7s and not Rugby 7's.

However, this is a internet forum which is about the exchange of ideas and as long as the language is readable it should be fine. This isn't a professional publication.

Go to 4chan.org and then I think you'll be counting your blessings about the kind of language used on this forum.

Back on topic, Baabaa's ad is seriously fucking awesome.

I'd consider adding a second to the overhead scrum shot, and maybe put a lineout in there to showcase the unique aspects of union
