And how come Whitewater events are so exciting to do and so dull to watch? They need a canoe-cam or something.

Made me laugh Scarfman. :lmao:

All of which made me try and think of something that's dull to do but good to watch...?

Being a back.

Being fullback is spectacularly boring at times. You need binoculars just to figure out which piggies have the ball.

Actually, it's quite relaxing.

Unless of course you're the fullback facing the Bulls and Morne Steyn and Fourie du Preez are constantly raining bombs down on you pursued by the snarling and salivating hulks of Pierre Spies and Bakkies Botha desperately trying to outrace each other in order to be the one who gets to giftwrap your spleen with your own broken ribs....

... I guess it gets to be a little less boring / relaxing then. ;)

High garryowens.

Slippery ball, swirling wind and rain.

Defenceless full-back waiting there, waiting, knowing no matter what he does his ribs are toast as soon as he hits the ground.

Oooooh, just the thought of it... :yay

Yeah, true. But in club rugby there are long periods when the fatties are flopping all over it and you can take the time to look around at the scenery.

But then, yes, the ball gets thumped in your direction and you're like: "fark". I might be right in thinking that fullback is the most injury-prone position, too. Lots of high-speed collisions.
