Round 7: Brumbies v Waratahs, Sat 6th 7.35PM AEDT @ GIO Stadium

Wilson

Phil Kearns (64)
Close as the score is it feels like the tahs are stretched about as far as they'll go here.

Tahs only really playing well in their own 22, as soon as they get out they lose their heads a bit and the Brumbies end straight back down there.

That Goddard try looked pretty close to not being grounded there. Brushing grass tops.

The line outs have been bizarre. Barely a line out not lost by the team with the throw. The defensive work from both teams has been fabulpous but neither can win their own ball consistently.

Was pleased until that last moment. Bend don’t break seemed to be the way for the Tahs but how long will it last?

Pollard having a real crack in attack and defence. Not sure Hooper is a 7. He’s had some carries but he’s a 6 and a good one.

Want to see Toole go looking for some work. I know it’s wet but since he’s getting the Wallaby push let’s see it.

Noah is business as usual for this season which is great to see from a Wallaby perspective.

From the Tah's perspective Holloway has been notable... but yes, not sure if it's just the wet making it easier to go for a flick back than a catch.

Tahs as always giving the game away with penalties. A couple of passes dropped absolutely cold doesn't help either. Brumbies haven't been spectacular, but accurate, they just don't give the ball away like the Tahs. Pollard looks really good, Lolesio looking more and more like our best 10, Tua has also been excelent.
For the Tahs, Holloway and Gamble have been outstanding, Edmed just doesn't seem to have a feel for the game
