I just rewatched and he literally lead with his arm into that ruck, can’t post photo because Stan App doesn’t allow screenshots, as for Kahui’s tackle, if a penalty was to be awarded there it would have been for not releasing Kahui when his knees hit the ground rather then a head high.

Reds also butchered a lot.

BR - and your post is exactly what rugby fans get frustrated with.

TT plays with power, enthusiasm and pressure. It’s what makes him so good. He should be viewed as effective, not dangerous. He makes mistakes but asking him to tone it back is insane.

Reds backrow were amazing eh? How so? Discipline kept the Force in it. McReights link play was good but he was nullified at the breakdown. ASY (Angus Scott-Young) busy but ineffectual and Wilson middling.

I feel that if the Force had some backs under 40 with the ability to penetrate the line, they could've won that.........

Every time they got their hands on the ball the kick into touch was inevitable.

Maybe they need to throw in Anstee and Greg Holmes into the centres?

Edit: Taefu actually was an exception - I thought he played well for the Force.

The step by Wilson to get around Tevita was wondrous. He’s metres aren’t made on the wing like Samu.

ASY (Angus Scott-Young)’s defence on the line when the Force were trying to attack was brilliant.

McReight made 22 from 22 and was everywhere.

Defence was a key factor, Reds backrow made 50 tackles between them and only missed 2. Force back row made 23 and missed 6.

Reds dominated stats. Force didn’t make a line break while Reds beat twice as many defenders. Reds tackled at 93% Force at 78%.

A couple of stray lineouts impacted us. But the big factor was a 15-7 penalty count against us. Much like the Rebels game we were frustrated into ill discipline. Really need to be more patient and back our exceptional D to avoid more unnecessary close games.

not a bad game, I wondered if the Reds had come down off high after last week, but maybe Force were just better than I thought they would be. I was a little surprised, but that could be me not giving Force credit, I look at them and can't shake feeling they got a few players 3-4 years past their use by date and the rest are good journeyman, but perhaps a few are more than just that and I should give them credit. Good for comp if they keep it up.

Few supporters of other franchises throwing barbs at the Reds because they’re undefeated. Force are grifters who are good at staying in the contest but pretty clear that Reds were the superior outfit.

Surprised people are talking about TK when I’ve hardly seen a mention of Paisami who was one of the best to take the field. Lock him in for the Wallabies again. Vunivalu will be a successful convert, wouldn’t surprise me to see him capped this year although there’s a lot of talent on the wing coming through.

Well played both sides. Force have always been a stumbling block and caused plenty of issues. Great to see Robertson & Holmes doing well. What a champion Holmesy is. Though Timani was good too.

Plenty of good performers for the Reds. I still think there’ll be improvement in this side, but lots of good work. Petaia & Paisami very good. I though Blyth was up there in MOM rating when he got subbed.

Tall poppy syndrome appears alive and well.

Nice to hear Brad Thorn acknowledge the contribution of journalist Wayne Smith to Australian rugby. Wayne started covering rugby in 1971 - and incredible innings. Sadly with the increasing prevalence of Social/online media I’m not sure we’re going to see many guys like his survive so long in the industry. I hope I’m wrong.

Well done Wayne.
