Reds are still learning. Lots of youngsters playing to a new pattern and getting to know one another. They will get better with time and experience. They seem infinitely fitter than the Tahs.
We need more positive people like u :) I'll always support them

Disappointing but it'll take a while to sort through the seemingly constant mistakes the reds have built into their system.

Talking about wins in SA prior as a springboard to a successful season prior to setting foot onto a field is all kinds of wrong and stupid. One game only, fellas and in no way should the coaches be saying (and thinking) anything else.

I think you guys just need to take in mind great teams are not built overnight. It took the Lions 3 seasons to reach the finals only to lose.

The Reds are good. They showed that in the first half. They just need more cohesion and that comes from character built through wins but also, in the beginning, tough losses.

Just by the way, the commentary sucked even for me and I hope at least most South Africans feel the same. Not so much that it was impartial, just that it was incredibly pathetic. The former Bok hooker seemed to have an opinion on everything.

Gone are the days where Hugh Bladen at least knew where players came from, which schools or clubs they played for etc.

It seems it's just a "call it as it is as long as it favours our viewpoint" kind of thing.

Horrible!

Nabuli, no. Quade? I couldn't confidently say. I didn't even think it was a red card but they are coming down so hard on any contact with the head that I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he did miss some games. It would be ridiculous if he did though.
Slipper is the big worry. I'd say he'll be gone for a while.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, the Bulls had the same red card as the Reds. My pal still moaned about it (we are both Stormers fans so we dislike the Bulls) and I told him it's bullshit these new laws but pro players should be able to adapt.

It sucks, I agree. I agree it doesn't warrant a red. These seem to be the new laws at least. Reds were fortunate in the first half with their shoulder charges (also mentioned prior) so I don't think there can be any complaints regarding the cards in this game for the Reds could easily have suffered more damages early on.

I agree Ulrich, I thought that after going in and watching them against Crusaders last week, it probably almost easier for the likes of you and I to notice as a Reds fan will no doubt be hurting quite badly after the losses, which can make it hard to see the positives.
I truly think it is a team on the way up, and will see it in a season or so as they all get used to each other and the game plan. And this is from a reasonable neutral, as I live in Qld but am a Canes man through and through!

Geez guys. Do yourselves the favour and look at the first few mins in the first half and see that Cooper deserved a card there already. No arms shoulder charge.

Those shoulder charges that the commentators carried on about in the first half were garbage, in both circumstances there were arms in the tackle

Haven't and most Likely won't watch the games now, seen coopers tackle .. for the love tackling ,cooper needs to stop attacking the ball when tackling. He gone for a week or 2.
Stile last week, team that was getting beaten by 50 now losing by minutes. Will back and bite him.
Something is going on the Reds
