Round 3: Waratahs v Highlanders - Friday 8 March 2024

Pretty happy with that team. Harry Wilson and FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) both unlucky, but imo a spot in the starting line-up had to be found for Hanigan. Harry Wilson doesn't have the explosive power of Perese, but I see him as a more complete footballer, probably would have started with Harry and bought Perese on with 20-30 to go if it was up to me.

Was a bit keen to pick the Clan in my tipping comp? With no Harmon and Withy, and no specialist locks it looking harder!
Still they were my pick for an upset and won't change it now!

yeah probably - should really be 15k plus. well 40k plus to be serious

I'll dream of 15k but say 10k.

If they can get over the Highlanders, then there could be reasonable hope for 20-25k next Saturday night against Auckland. Highlanders don't draw in the kiwis like Auckland or the Crusaders.

I think 10K is likely and game should be played elsewhere until crowds are double that. Brookvale/ Leichardt/ or regional Mudgee/ Newcastle /Bathurst/Tamworth/ Orange - Hope Im wrong and they pull 15 +

Country game I can get behind, but if they are playing in Sydney then the SFS (Allianz) is the home ground. Make it something.
I agree it should be the STATE team home ground - but I think it is silly playing there if they cant Half fill it. Once they get the consistent crowds yep move it to SFS full time.

I disagree.

The SFS is fantastic. It's much easier to get to than the other locations. I agree that the atmosphere with the same number of people at a smaller ground (Leichhardt or Brookvale) is better but the facilities and surrounding amenities at the SFS are way better.

I stuck with my membership through the non SFS years while they built the new stadium but am so happy they are back at home.

Speak for yourself ;) 90 minutes Metro, Train, Light Rail, Walk. Bloody eastern elites...

Awesome stadium. Concerts, rugby XVs or 7s. Never fails to impress. So easy these days to get a drink as well compared to the old rubbish. I was against the rebuild but so worth it.
