McReight back next week. JB has done well.
Perfect for the All Airport XV though. If you saw him walking through an airport you'd think "there's no way anyone could catch or tackle this guy, given his physique he must surely be one of the very best rugby players in the world............"It's crazy that he's still an employed rugby union footballer who gets selected for a Super Rugby side.
Now that the Reds have discovered a genuine winger in Ryan maybe they can select a winger who chases in defence and runs hard in attack on the other wing too. Vuni just jogs when someone has gone past him and when Hoskins Sotutu left him for dead it should be used by Kiss as a training video.Yeah well - you can't blame Vunivalu for continually getting picked.
It should be used to sack Kiss in my view. Fucken garbage selection decision. Now that the Reds have discovered a genuine winger in Ryan maybe they can select a winger who chases in defence and runs hard in attack on the other wing too. 4/9 is a hell of a lot better than 2/9. Wanna swap? The Tim Ryan hatrick is the kind of play that should be posted all over Fox Sports, great story in a starting debut.
Instead I feel it will be lost and not get the fanfare it deserves. That loss feels more deflating than the Hurricanes one for me as a fan because we really dropped the bag.
Agreed, surprises me how easily he goes to ground when tackled.Perfect for the All Airport XV though. Shame for the Reds. Their management in the final stanza of that game was...interesting. Having done so well to get a decent lead, they handed too many opportunities to the Blues.
Ryan is quite something!
Agree about match management. It’s where Creighton and Jock needed to step up. Lawsons kicking was aimless and I didn’t see much of Jock at all.
Was Campbell on at the end? Where was he playing?
I dunno - I thought the wildly obvious offside cleanout from Wilson that led to a Reds turnover early in the second half adequately demonstrated the level of nuance Doleman is capable of applying to a game. Just fucken cheat because you'll only get called back 10% of the time.I have to say, I’ve gone back and watched the match drawing try from the blues because live I thought it was an obstruction.
Not sure what other thoughts are but the 17 who’s essentially a lead runner makes direct contact with Creighton and takes that whole space which the 16 then runs into and scores.
I know this isn’t league but why doesn’t the 17 have to run through the defensive line instead of taking Creighton out? I thought for certain it would be called back.
Just rewatched it then. Creighton goes to ground pretty easily, but yeah that’s often called. But Doleman was all over the shop all night.I have to say, I’ve gone back and watched the match drawing try from the blues because live I thought it was an obstruction.
