Duncher

OK this may be getting a little long in the tooth but I got this in an email the other day from a Kiwi mate at work (presumably from his private collection of inter racial porn) and I just thought it could be used for this years Bledisloe

Just as the human race began in a little spot in Africa, the sheep evolved from NZ.*

The specimen in the photo above might have been born in Australia, but it's DNA can be traced back to an ancient hobby farm in Auckland, circa 20,000 BC.*

*Direct quotes from Darwin's "Little Book of Sheep Facts". Not Charles, but his younger brother Barry. A lesser known but still scientifically relevant publication.

I'm no prude, but that logo on crown land is a fucking disgrace.

These betting agencies just think they can do whatever they want.

The Vic Planning Minister has said it must be removed by the end of the day, and I have no issue with that at all.

Daz mate clearly the reaction is exactly what Sportsbet and by extension the ARU wants.

I think it is marketing genius, It makes the pc brigade jump up and call for heads and it gets rugby beamed LIVE into mainstream AFL territory. Fucking disgrace? Fucking outstanding I think.

Come 7pm tonight every Rugby illiterate lad in Melbourne will know of Saturday's game. And the best part - it's coming live to them on CH10.

Rugby needs controversy. It needs headlines.

This pushes the boundaries but break them? C'mon. I remember when I was a little naive kid (Which by the way was only in 2006) and if I saw that out the window of a plane I just wouldn't understand the sexual connotations - I Wouldn't see them at all. I would just think it was an ad promoting betting and the Wallabies. In fact I wouldn't even see the betting side. I would just think Wallabies.

As for Adults, they can toughen up, they've seen it. I think it's an amazing image to project to tourists, it shows Melbourne is ready for the banter, the footy and to welcome 30000 British rugby tourists.

Do you think they will think it isn't funny? Surely not.

More of this stuff.

Have to agree to disagree spikhaza.

Rugby needs controversy? In Melbourne, I think the exact opposite applies. The only media rugby gets in Melbourne on average is the negative stuff - Think Cipriani and Beale.

Rugby needs Mums and Dads; especially Mums. This isn't the way to get them.

And frankly, if I was a tourist jetting into Melbourne, I would have my preconceptions about Aussie's well and truly confirmed.

Anyway, that's just me.

Anyone who is outraged by this needs to get a sense of humor ffs. Seriously it's a joke and I'm pretty sure the Lions fans will be talking about it if it's still there on the flight in and actually enjoy giving back in the banter war to the Wallabies fans after we win.

If it's gone a lot of people on Spring st need to get a life and actually come to the game and see the passion that the Lions bring.

As for the argument about family's seeing it, tell there kids they are hugging to promote good sportsmanship, a young kid would not know any better.

This city is being run by a bunch of boring prudes if this really does get removed.

Rant over.

They stole the 2011 GAGR RWC war cry. That's the disgrace.

Good to see this thread bumped. Shit it was funny leading into the RWC.
