You're having a laugh emuarse or trying to take Slim's trophy has the most biased fan on here?

The whole Tahs front row should be bold or have you forgotten the last game where your scrum got absolutely served up against the same Tahs 3? Yes Slipper wasn't there but Fat Cat will destroy him as well. Mumm and Simmons are hard to split, yes Simmons may be the better Test player but Mumm is very good at Super level, he calls the Tahs lineouts and does an excellent job as well as having a good workrate for a lock. Higginbum being a better player than Dennis is also a good one, Dennis was consistently one of the Tahs best last season and if you look back to the stats for a 6, Dennis outplayed him over the season - he plays tighter and has higher workrate. Shatz over Palu? No need to comment on that one, Cliffy belted your whole pack last game against the Reds, Shatz won't do anything.

WARATAHS ..........................................REDS
My interpretation of head to heads.

1/3 Benn Robinson............................James Slipper
2. Tatafu Polota-Nau ......................James Hanson
3/1 Sekope Kepu................................Ben Daley
4. Dean Mumm................................ Rob Simmons
5. Kane Douglas ..............................James Horwill
6. Dave Dennis................................ Scott Higginbotham
7. Pat McCutcheon...................Beau Robinson
8. Wycliff Palu .......................Jake Schatz
9. Sarel Pretorius.............................Will Genia
10. Berrick Barnes.......................... Mike Harris
11. Brackin Karauria-Henry ............Digby Ioane
12. Tom Carter ..................................Ben Tapuai
13. Rob Horne................................. ..Anthony Fainga'a
14. Tom Kingston............................. Dom Shipperley
15. Adam Ashley-Cooper ..............Luke Morahan

Few notes:
THPs scrummage against LHPs
Chip kicks do not make a good 6
I've made a substitution at 7 for the Reds as it seems unlikely that Benn Robinson will play LHP for the Tahs and Openside for the Reds.
A few matchups you've given to the Reds, I'd say they're too close to call. Tapps v. Carter, Kingston v. Shipperley.

I think Moses analysis is closer to the mark.

I think 12. is an interesting one. Whilst Ben Tapuai is definitely a star in the making, Tom Carter has been superb in Super Rugby, particularly last year. It's very rare that he is outplayed by his opponent. I can't see the round one matchup being any different.

Should be a cracking game. The Reds will certainly have a few bad memories of their clash at ANZ Stadium last year.

I also would have Carter/Tapuai even because they're totally different players to compare against each other. Kingston and Shipperley are both rookies which we haven't seen enough of and hopefully Mitchell is fit to face Ioane which would be another even contest. ;)

So do I. Where the bloody hell are my red tinted glasses!

Having said that.... I have said frequently that a champion team will always beat a team of champions. So IMHO I think that the big factor will be how they play as a team.. And the Reds have that one hands down!:D

Regarding emuarse giving the dominance in 6/8 forwards, here's a short video I put together towards the end of last year..

Of particular interest to all Reds fans should be the periods 25 seconds to 42 seconds and 3:17 to 4:13

So it's 5 points for a try, 2 points for a conversion, 3 points for penalties and dropgoals and how many for a scrum? Zero? Are you sure?

Nice looking platform, shame they never do enough with it. Fortunately for Queensland their set piece deficiencies are made up by coaching, team-play, more x-factor and better looks.

Don't say anything about injuries!

You forgot to mention a halfback that can path both ways. I think the lack of headbands was also a contributing factor.

Nice use of buzz words godfrey. Team-play (do the reds only play against one person?) Coaching (which somehow excludes set pieces) more x-factor (when x-factor is by definition that which cannot be quantified) and as for better looks:

Isn't X-Factor that TV show where people mistakenly believe they have talent, and get shown to be invariably deluded?

I believe that was the first year that trophy has existed... How could you possibly get a photo of us holding it aloft... illogical queenslanders ;)
