Ball gets out to Savea unmarked after some good quick passes and he makes a break down the line. Inside ball to Perenara who grubbers, but the ball goes dead.

Super restartfrom the Cooper sees Quirk take the ball on the full.

Cooper then kicks to the Canes 22. Good play Reds.

I like the flat passes that Perenara passes from the base of the scrum and rucks/mauls, it really encourages the backs to run with real pace to take on the line.

Reds rushing on the Canes out wide.

Canes knock on, then Eaton compounds it by giving away a penalty (looked harsh though).

S. Finger with a poor throw, goes over the lineout.

Reds give away another penalty, but the Canes go 20m downfield and the advantage ends.

Eaton finally knocks on. Reds counter then knock on as well. Savea kicks through, then Toua messes it up 5m out.

Toua has not had a good game. Looks out of his depth in this type of messy game.

Canes mess it up midfield, Walsh rules accidental offside, and the half is over.

Poor half of rugby. No continuity whatsoever.

11 - 9 to the Reds.

Did you see the Canes' hand hook the ball backwards? Well, it looked like it.

Just replayed it on the foxtel and it was definately the hookers foot.

Although it was a little unusual to see a hooker actually hook the ball, instead of the usual cheating runt #9 crooked feed under the second row.

Sean Maloney - a breath of fresh air in the commentary box! Can we clear some of the deadwood out and get more of these types of guys in?? Former players do NOT always make the best commentators.

Sharpey providing some good insights though and can see him growing into the role nicely.

This has got to be one of the most boring games I've seen for two "exciting" teams. Walsh is pinning them for everything so neither team can get any rhythm

Cooper makes a half break but Reds again force passes and knock on. Canes kick out on the full but Walsh calls it back for the knock on.

Very Close.

You get the feeling that this game could explode in favour of one team who will run away with it. Which Team? Dunno.

Reds drive through the Canes scrum and Shields knocks on at the back. Good scrum Reds.

Gets get a penalty 5 out after a good run from Gill.

Thought that maybe the penalty should have gone the other way for holding on.

Reds take a quick tap and throw it wide. Barrett rushes up and tries to take a one handed intercept but knocks it on.

Perenara looked to be well offside at the scrum. Reds go back to the forwards.

Reds knock on 4m out.
