Exactly the lack of consistency is killing fans.. how can the brumbies get away with two head highs, and a dubious cleabout by Arnold at the ruck, yet the Reds get the YC for a tackle which didn’t even make contact with his head.

I disagree, the focus I've seen recently has been around attacking the head and neck - the worst of this has been shoulders, but it's also neck rolls and tip tackles.

This was true of White, Link, Cheika in their first years with new assignments in Super Rugby. They all made serious team improvements in most team and key player skills areas by this juncture in their first year.

No meaningful improvements made by that rounds’ point, the call re that new HC is typically a poor one and so it continues in subsequent years.
