Thanks Mr T. Isn't it just fantastic! What a turnaround, what an achievement by, all of, the new, revitalised, QRU Board, an excellent professional CEO, a matured, world-class coach, and liberated, well led players whom, with the coach and management, have built a manifestly healthy team culture. Then they play skilful, fan-friendly dynamic rugby....30,000 to a Blues game! I'm not saying any of this is easy, but the the core principles aren't rocket science either.

official attendance was 30,041 - apparently more than that sold for the Crusaders match already.

On Saturday they started selling tickets in the gold section on the top tier. This wasn't available against the Blues. So it will be very full.

As much as I wish the Blues had beat the Reds on Friday, it is really good to see the support the Reds are getting and the turn-around in the franchise. Great rugby story.

Many thanks TOCC. Gee, revealing in many ways. Those high-30s peaks, around 5 or more years ago, ouch. Let's hope Reds v Cru can get back up there, doubt it will hit 42k+ though. You can usually get a sense by looking at Ticketek availability the Friday/Saturday before the game.

There is an ad in today's paper that confirms 28,000 tickets already sold so with a bit of hype and a few more back page stories in the lead up, I think the crowd numbers should push the record. Actually, I think it will break the record and add to the list of broken records for the Reds this season.

dam, 28'000 is pretty good, the Blues game raked in a extra 5'000 in the couple of days prior...
The Crusaders game is still 2 weeks away!

Wish i could make it, happy to be working overseas, dissapointed to be missing the Reds play
