Frisby can kick.
Murphy can kick also.
Quirk hasn't been injuried to my knowledge. He played the first QLD A game and did such a great job they stopped him playing the next QLD A game and he was selected for the 22 in the Reds game against the Force at home. Good to see him back in the 22.
Would like to have seen AWH there and give Simmons a complete break to sort out his game.
I think the Reds will come out firing - as to a win, lets hope so for their sake.

The Reds haven't really played with a specialist fullback for some years now from memory, I think Clinton S the leaguie (cant be bothered trying to spell his last name) was the last one. I hasn't really been a problem for them with the solid backline we've had and Quade dropping back etc but right now it seems to be a big issue.

Is Aiden Toua the only proper 15 that the Reds have contracted? I agree that Davies isn't the answer there. Against a team like the Force who don't exactly have a strong backline it might not be so bad but in the coming weeks I'd say they need to address this issue.
I also have grave doubts over Davies, but what makes a specialist? He was a Australian Schoolboys 15 so he must have known what to do at some stage

Not much love for Radike around these parts.... I still reckon the big fella has a lot to offer & I expect to see him back next week. Though I'm sure Quirk will do a great job this week. The boys will bounce back this weekend & take a convincing bonus point win.

I think people generally love Samo, but no for his play on the field, it is hard to drop a popular player and this might be Link drawing a line in the sand.
I am now getting confident, Reds by 1

Just saw that the game was due to be reffed by Bryce but he's injured .......... (waits for cheering to die down) ............ so Garret Williams will be officiating!

Makes me smile.

I love you, man.

Eddie was quite feisty in his time on the field against the Force. Got in the faces of the force backrow, as I recall. I like it.

IMO, with a pressure-inexperienced kicker playing away, we'll need at least a 1 try gap, if not 2, v Force as I'd realistically expect Dallan M to kick around the 50%, max 60%, mark (assuming usual mix of some close in, some out wide etc.). If the game is low tries, high penalties, the impact of that speculated DM % range will be more severe, so we'd need a material +ve penalties won gap as well.

Unless of course, the Force's kickers have a major off night, then we get the leg up. Can't count on that though.

Tries under the posts please Shipps.

Stannard isn't much chop as a kicker either.

Obviously fighting fire with fire on the mobile backrow. Quirk is a great option on the bench in being able to cover all 3 loosie positions. Robinson's defense has been disappointing for mine, and he is only still there IMO because of Gills age. Would not be surprised to see him being the last forward used off the bench this weekend (except maybe anae).

The inclusion of Van Humphries pleases me, as Van's ability to roll C*nts could prove the difference this weekend.

Have to admit I am a bit worried about how many minutes he is able to play nowadays. Perhaps the team doctor might make sure there is bit of scaring in the nose in case a tactical blood bin is needed late in the first half - although this might not be necessary if van is able to convince the ref that the blood of the freshly rolled force players covering him, is in fact his blood and not theirs. It's defiantly a routine that needs to be practised at training.

I'm actually hoping Anae gets some decent minutes against the Force. I know he wasn't overly impressive in his first start of the season but maybe given some good minutes off the bench at the end will get him going. He's such a big unit and fairly mobile as well, would be well suited to this weekends game.

Sorry if this has been asked already but is Eyres-Brown an inside or outside back? Just looking at the team and say D.Murphy has a barry crocker and gets hooked does it seem likely Genia would be moved into 10 again? The Reds have seemed at their worst when he plays there the last 2 games.

Dog,
Nathan Eyres-Brown has played most of his schools footy at fullback - dont know where he played at league

Quirk for Samo is a great decision, keep it that way for the rest of the season. My prefered backrow combination.

I'd assume Dallan Murphy will be kicking, he does it for Brothers.

I thought Brendan McKibbin was Brother's main converter until he joined up with Waratahs last year - so Murphy couldn't be too strong in that position
