No, and please don't try and twist what I write.

The Brumbies wanted Saiaa.

The Reds got both.

That's all there is to it.

But actually... the Reds would've wanted Saiaa because Moore for whatever reason wasn't appreciated by Mooney and was going to depart...

The Brumbies wouldn't offer Ant a contract, and the twins wanted to stay together. The Reds wanted Saia to replace Moore, as Slim said, which was the catalyst for the deal, and the Reds were happy to take Ant in the bargain. Slim's version is pretty spot on.

Moore was appreciated by Mooney. Moore left because he had a nasty falling out with another Reds coach at the time, and chose to leave because of it. The Reds desperately wanted to keep Moore.

IMO team will be the same but with Anae starting - problem is the bench 2. Is Saaia OK because reckon they will rest Hanson, just in case
Rocket will be on bench with Shippers to start - cannot possibly drop him after THAT try

Can't see any other changes being likely either. Link will want to get these combinations working and that will take time. A backrow with Schatz/Higgers and either 7 will be better than going with both. Ball security at the breakdown was a problem vs the Tahs and would likely get worse on attack with both 7's running on. With Quade there may have been changes but no need for now.

Hopefully Genia steps up this week, takes ownership and gives Harris some space and good ball - and some GOOD box kicks - a good box kick is great at the right time and if executed well, a bad one is just shit and the pressure reversed

I am a Force tragic but their trial form has been rubbish, their coach is rubbish and they lack try scoring ability

They'll get belted

I can't see us winning either. The Reds are a level above where we are at right now. With that said, we ran them very close twice last year and could well have won both games and they ended up winning the whole thing.

Stannard needs protection as he's defence is junk. Will think Pocock will be there to protect him but he missed 3 of them as well. But what is strange is that the guys who makes the line breaks or make the big yards up the field are the ones with the most turn overs against their names. There is a fine line at the break downs now and it looks like the attacking team gets penalized more with attacking play than the defending team. The new interpretations are having the opposite effect.

Getting the ball to Nalaga and Cummins in some space would be nice. I was surprised how few touches Nalaga got against the Brumbies and even more surprised that despite this he still had the most run metres for the team. Put the ball in the hands of those that can win you the game. If RG happens to think thats the forwards then by all means pick and drive all game.

Maybe they need to go wide but pass the ball well back behind the play so that Nalaga can get it in his hands and hit the gain line at speed. Give him a chance to put a move on if required. He's Fijian, I'm sure he can palm off a couple of would be tacklers.

Link is also keen to use his squad as much as possible. It wouldn't surprise me if there are a few surprises in the 22 on Saturday.

I would love to see Quirk come onto the bench. I would prefer his big engine in this game.

Few big Changes, Ant out due to hamstring tightness, precautionary. Higgers out due to a tight glute, precautionary.

A decsicion on the no. 16 will be made after training this morning, both will run, whoever pulls up best gets the game. Doubt whoever it is will be used unless absolutely necessary.
