3. Horwill - saved the Reds arses by somehow holding up Shepherd
2. Saia Fainga'a
1. Higginbotham - provided the spark the Reds badly missed in the first half

Force:

Force
3. James O'Connor - brilliant
2. Nathan Sharpe - did a great job of lying around to slow the game down with the albino medico tending him.
1. Ben McCalman - Coin toss with Pocock, Brown, but favoured because he smashed a few more reds. They were great.

Reds: no one in light years of above, but
3. James Horwill
2. Saia Fainga'a - despite his roly poly tummy.
1. James Hanson - promising

Surprised Davies isn't getting more of a mention. Did everything he could with the opportunities presented, and shut down a couple of would be Force tries.

1 Hynes

for snotting Brett Sheehan? MOM efforts in my book.

To be honest, I think he was our most dangerous back.

Sure, but don't get caught. You just look naive and unprofessional, and it could have really cost the reds. Have to agree that he played well. Defense was a pleasant surprise - robust and proactive.

I personally think davies turned the game for QLD
His great kick chase from a very ordinary kick where he belted Shepherd into touch lead directly to the Fainga'a try. When the kick skewed off the side of the boot, I was expecting a Force counter attack but Davies smashed Shepherd.
He also chased a chip kick and pushed David Smith into touch which lead to several phases for QLD and a try.
QLD lacked spark and imagination and were monstered at the breakdown by the Force backrow. Some inspirational moments from Davies shifted the momentum
...........and the Force brought on their big dumb mopped topped stupid dolt.......Sam Wykes. His dumb lineout calls, poor jumping and lack of effort cost the Force big time. The bloke is a useless tool.
