What do you mean that there's no other option but to play him? If we have 3 fit locks then he doesn't have to play. If we only have 2 fit locks then he can ride the pine.
As far as I know, Kotze, O'Donohue and McDuling are all fit.

As long as the rain stops a few hours before the game there won't be a appreciable difference from a spectators point of view. Even as shagged as it is, Suncorp's drainage still gets the water away well. The track will be heavy but won't be a bog.

Mate it makes no difference to me. I'm under cover this week.

I hope it dries out after the forecasted deluge over next couple of days

Ignoring his personal penalty count, I thought Horwill actually went ok. Definitely not the worst forward and I'll be very surprised if he's not starting. No way would I bench him.

That's kinda the point. His personal penalty count is why we should bench him. I'm not sure how you can just ignore that.

Bloody hell some of you are sad sods, the boys will be seething after that poor excuse of a game last week, Reds will come out firing in this one, taking home a bonus point in the process...

Yep I said it... This is QLD, not NSW, we don't start dismissing our team after Rd1

I like that team, good to see JOC (James O'Connor) and Thomson.

My only concern is the center pairing again. Kerevi and CFS just didn't seem to click for me. We shall see though. Johnson coming off the bench to play 12 and pushing Kerevi to 13 I reckon could be a good move in the second half.

So the injured list of players who may be selected now apparently contains:

Holmes, Simmons, McDuling, O'Donoghue, Beau, Quirk, Quade, Paia'aua, Ant, Taps, JJT. That list includes 4 starters in the best XV (THP, lock, flyhalf, inside centre). Although, Beau and Quirk may not make the above 23.

I think JOC (James O'Connor) at 10 was the right decision, with Hunt back at 15. Worried about our locks, we we are now down 3 as far as I can tell.

Across the park, our discipline, ruck work, defence and attack structure needs to improve unbelivably from the previous week to have any hope of even winning.

Tom Murday is a solid replacement I reckon. Height: 2m Weight: 112kg 'Murday was part of the Reds Wider Training Squad in 2013 before heading to New Zealand to join ITM Cup side Northland. He was a member of the Auckland Blues Super Rugby Extended Player Squad last year'

Tom Murday! Me likey!

Me too.

It's good to see him return home, after stints with the politicians in Canberra, and across the ditch with the Kiwis.

I thought he was contracted to the Blues as EPS or WTG or something, but I was unable to find his name on any of the lists, so was wondering where he was. Problem solved.

Pretty sure he was in the Blues EPS last year, after playing a couple of years in the ITM cup for the Northland Taniwhas.

The time belting around NZ club/Semi pro scene should have given some starch to his game.

I have typed his name on these boards more than once as a potential solution to the lock crisis in Redsville, and look forward to seeing him have a crack.
