I think the Reds desperately need to shake up the 10/12/13 combination for this game. If Hunt is going to stay at 10 then I believe a ball-playing 12 is a must if the backline is going to fire. Depending on availability i'd like to see either JOC (James O'Connor), Ant or Taps playing there with Kerevi at 13. After watching both the Rebels and Reds last weekend I really wish Aussie Mike was still in QLD, he would fill the role nicely.

The Hunt at 10 experiment should end. JOC (James O'Connor) to 10. Hunt at Fullback and ANT to replace CFS. That should give us a pretty solid backline.

Hopefully the injection of Thomson into the pack should add some much needed enthusiasm.

The Reds really need to address their attitude to win this game. They have the players but attitude wise the Force are on a different level. On the weekend the Reds looked extremely lazy in defence and lazy on the kick chase.

When you infringe as much as we did at the breakdown, particularly in attack, its the sign of a team that just isn't working hard enough.

I don't know what it is about Graham as a coach, but it seems like ever since he took over the rate of infringements by the Reds players has continued to rise at a ridiculous rate. worrying signs.

I'd bench Horwill for the start of this game. He needs to be reminded that he doesn't get a free ride. His performance in the first half on the weekend was ok, but when things didn't go his way in the second half he became embarrassing.

Force by 10+

Surely Hunt will get the shove back to 15 and JOC (James O'Connor) to 10. Add Ant in there and the problems in the backline should be fixed.

The inclusion of Thomson will certainly assist the forwards as well as some physicality

10. Duncan
12. JOC (James O'Connor)
13. Kerevi
15. Hunt
Wingers: whoever, they're all pretty good

Maybe we'll be able to score a try with that back-line o_O

Pretty sure he's got the week off after a head knock

Think so as well,

Bloke has played 2 trials and for WHATEVER reasons he was shithouse.

The season may be defined this week, Hunt was fairly poor (again, for whatever reasons) at 10.

Shunt him back, bring James into 10. If he does no good at 10 then we are really fucked for 2015

Anyone know what's happening with McIntyre? He didn't look quite ready in NRC but he certainly wouldn't be the worst option right now.

I read in the Reds thread that he was injured and was out indefinitely. Hopefully someone from his club might have some more info?

He was not up to NRC level last year, give him a year or two in grade then maybe give him a go.
Getting a run now might be the end of him.

Redstragic, its ironic that your avatar photo of Horwill portrays the exact emotion I felt watching Horwill play on Friday

Kev wears his heart on his sleeve. The picture was from when he ruptured his hammy a couple of years ago and was sitting on the sideline watching the Brumbies do us.

If he gets a chance this weekend, I hope he makes amends. He bleeds red, and would be upset with his dickish behavior last weekend.

JJ Taulagi and Duncan Paia'aua have been ruled out of this game but Graham has confirmed O'Connor and Thomson will play.

Taulagi is out for 6 weeks with an MCL sprain and Paia'aua failed the concussion protocols for this weeks game.

sad for those guys but I guess at least we should be able to replace their skills.

Surely our bad luck has to stop soon.

There's already been a few things I wasn't expecting to say this year, but here's a new one.....
Fuck now JJ is injured? The crap luck continues!

I think JOC (James O'Connor) playing 10 is the least bad option for the Reds right now. It's not ideal, because I don't think he's particularly good there, but with QC (Quade Cooper) and his understudy out it's the best realistic choice.
