Kalani Thomas has a pretty quick pass off the ground, I’ll give him that. Faster then McDermott‘s..
Doesn’t look at the opportunities around the ruck as much as McDermott does though.

Flook set to play 80 in his first game back, all the back substitutes have been rolled out with Daugunu replacing Paisami.

will be a test of the hamstring

Yellow card remains as Tim Ryan luckily "landed safely". Surely the upgrade depended on the action not the result. Fijian player didn't look like he was going for the ball in that instance and took out the player in the air.

3rd tackle of a Reds player in the air this match… 2 off a restart and that one on Ryan

That one on (I think) Bryant should also have been yellow. And I don't understand how it works when Ryan twists to save his neck with no attempt to mediate from the tackler meets a threshold of "lowered the risk".

Reds finished that game with only 13 on the field…

Looks like Wilson and Ryan came off in the last 5-10mins and no one replaced them

Anyway a fabulous game for a dead rubber, in the wet as usual. Lachy hitting records. Flook blasted off the cobwebs and looks to be back where he was.

Fantastic debut (I think) by Bloomfield, push through scrum to start and some excellent field work, wacking Ravai in a tackle, punching weight behind (was it Daugunu) for a try.

Lynagh in-play kicking is looking impressive as ie he decision making to put down the pedal when it makes sense.

Line out was looking good, ditto scrum. Thought Canham, Smith and Brial were all over it.

Ryan was hammered all night and just bounced through to perform.

The Drua were not in that game from around 10 min. Crusaders will be a completely different kettle of fish, especially in Christchurch. Let's hope for rain.
