Poor HMP. Gets Crusaders away then Chiefs away.Kiss stated a few key players will be rested this week including lynagh. Should have a full strength team, including our starting 10. HMP cant run a backline under pressure that you get in NZ.
Seriously resting players again for a top of the table clash half way through the seasonKiss stated a few key players will be rested this week including lynagh. Should have a full strength team, including our starting 10. HMP cant run a backline under pressure that you get in NZ.

I don’t like resting him for this game. It feels like a bit of a 4D chess attempt when at the end of the day you really just need to play better than other teams more than half of the time. Also I want to see how Lynagh goes against the tough boys. He needs the experience.
HamiltonAre we playing in NewPlymouthBrisbane again?
shitHamilton
Hear, hear.If we rest Lynagh for a fucken top of table, potential season defining match I'll riot
He went fine last time even though he got late dog shotted by the Chiefs 6.Also I want to see how Lynagh goes against the tough boys. He needs the experience.
Surely, he could be managed by coming off the bench? Granted he could have to come on earlier than expected but seems a better balance than missing a big game. And the Reds get a bye after the Brumbies anyways if I'm not mistake. It was bad enough when it seemed like there was just a pre-ordained, "no more than 6 in a row" rest policy for the broader Wallabies group (whoever that may include). Having it chop and change like this is impossible to follow as a fan. I get the player welfare aspect of it but to have it cheapen the competition like this without any visibility (or consistency across the comp) is a real shitshow.
I almost wish they just lied to us about the wallaby component. I could completely understand needing to manage the minutes of a 21 year old fly half with an injury record and what seems to be a target tattooed on his jaw bone, but the idea that because he's in the broader wallabies frame he ends up missing the best opportunity this season to press his claim for the actual jersey is insane.
Christy implies it's Wallabies rest, but it also sounds like Les Kiss is well onboard with it (not at all surprising for the likely incoming wallabies coach). Is this Wallaby rest, or Kiss rest?
