The reds can't make the finals. The Brumbies can't not.

The brumbies are some shade of beige while the Reds are some terrible vomit rainbow.

I'm trying to get excited but it's not easy

Brums by many.

Although if the rumours I'm hearing re: Lealiifano are correct, as least this game will have a decent feel-good story

Coming down to Brisbane as I do for this game each year but shit I'm not particularly excited about it.

Kerevi is out still, so Magnay or CFS could replace him, but both are underdone. Henry Taefu is an option?

It'll be interesting to see whether Cheika has requested Hunt play at 12, it would weaken the Reds lineup if Stewart or Marantra have to play at 15 in his place.

This will be Simmons last game in red?

Would have been his last home game, but I think he is still out injured. (Possibly back according to Stiles a month ago)

From redsrugby.com.au

St.George Queensland Reds centre Samu Kerevi and lock Rob Simmons will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks following injuries sustained while the side was in Samoa.

Simmons injured the AC joint in his shoulder at training last week, while Kerevi suffered a low-grade ankle syndesmosis injury in his side’s loss to the Blues in Apia last Friday. Neither player requires surgery.

Reds head coach Nick Stiles said: “It’s tough news for the two of them, but we’re hopeful of having them back in time for our remaining two Super Rugby games.

I read an article recently which said Simmons injury isn't as bad as first though and he will be right for selection this week, and L.Tui is out for a few weeks following minor surgery following the Wallabies camp

Hopefully he is back then. It would be a shame if he has already played his last home game.

NINE-SEASON stalwart Rob Simmons will get the Suncorp Stadium farewell he deserves on Friday night with a certain spot in the Queensland Reds line-up to face the Brumbies.
The former captain’s position was in jeopardy because of a collarbone injury and last month’s decision to cut him for 2018 after loyal service to the Reds since his debut as a 19-year-old.

^^^^ a bit similar to McMahon at the end of last year. Though McMahon did have some game time and was previously injured, but his time in training for the Wallabies left him worse off than beforehand.

In light of the recent struggles against the opposition and ourselves, the Queensland Reds are happy to announce that our organization has decided to embrace the empowerment of FULL COMMUNISM.

We'd also like to announce the promotion of Comrade Karmichael to the position of Glorious Leader. Leading from the front, our comrade has yet to let us down and will ensure we crush the Kiwi reactionists.

Predicated upon these revolutionary changes, we will be releasing new merchandise and correcting the name of our membership group to reflect these new values. The membership group will now be known as the "Red Army"

BUMP: Somebody has to give a fuck about this game. :D

Literally forgot that the Australian Super sides were playing this weekend.

I am stupendously excited about the Lions vs. All Blacks 3rd test, and the idea of watching Australian Rugby immediately afterwards gives me anxiety.

Brumbies have a history of losing games they should win, especially towards the end of a season. Hopefully, they get away with the Reds, but I can't see it by anywhere near 35.
