I find it really hard to tell where the brumbies are at this season. They've had some good wins (Drua in Fiji, Blues at Eden Park), but losses to the Force in Canberra and in particular tahs really take the gloss off. They're 0 from 3 against sides currently in the 6 (though the tahs position is probably inflated) and all there wins have come against the bottom 3 sides. Part of that is just the reality of the draw though.

Whatever happens I think they're pretty comfortable to make the 6 from here, but this game is going to be a big indicator in where they are actually at, and a decider in whether or not they can push for the top 3.

Maybe he's implying reserve grade? Not much a difference physicality wiser just a touch slower to bring him up to speed?

Yeah the smart play would be play him this weekend for Wests off the bench and then start him the following weekend. Then play him for the Reds the weekend after that. But maybe he’ll need a more cautious approach.

It's a low pressure trough, more in common with winter cold fronts than anything monsoonal. Either way the ground doesn't look great.
