The Reds will be auctioning off the special jerseys they will wear on the weekend to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease.
A friend of mine lost his father to this disease last year and as we all know Joost van der Westhuizen has recently been diagnosed with it so I hope the jerseys attract some large bids and raise a fair bit of money for this worthy cause.
Details are on the Reds website:

The St.George Reds will be throwing their support behind the MND and Me Foundation by wearing specially designed jerseys for their clash with the Brumbies at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night.
Queensland Rugby and the MND and Me Foundation are coming together to raise awareness and funds for Motor Neurone Disease by wearing and then auctioning off the jerseys worn by the Reds in their final regular season home game of 2011.
The MND and Me logo will feature prominently on the front of the jersey as a way of increasing awareness for the devastating affects resulting from Motor Neurone Disease, a progressive neurological disease that affects approximately 1400 people in Australia.
St.George Reds defensive coach Matt Taylor shares a strong connection with MND and Me Founder Scott Sullivan with the pair school mates at St. Laurence’s College.
Taylor and the entire Queensland Rugby organisation is encouraging everyone to give generously to the Foundation, which contributes financially towards research into finding a cure while also ensuring those who have to live with the disease and their families are supported in both financial and non-financial ways.
“The partnership between the Queensland Reds and the MND and Me Foundation will give the Foundation exposure on a local, state, national and international level and will help us achieve one of our main objectives - to raise public awareness of Motor Neurone Disease (MND),” Mr Sullivan said.
“There are approximately 300 Queenslanders currently living with the daily challenges that MND brings. The families, friends, colleagues and carers of those individuals are also impacted to varying degrees. There is currently no known cause, no effective treatment and no cure for Motor Neurone Disease and the average life expectancy from diagnosis is only 27 months.
“Having the Reds run out onto the field wearing the MND and Me logo will mean so much to every Queensland family impacted by this challenging disease. It sends a strong message of hope and support and another reminder that the families dealing with MND are not alone. They have the support of their state and their team behind them!
“I would encourage all Queenslanders to get to Suncorp Stadium this Saturday night and support the Reds, as they support all Queenslanders living with MND.
