You do realise the reds and Brumbies are both currently holding the worst lineout percentages in the comp.

Waratahs - 90%
Rebels - 84%
Force - 81%
Brums - 80%
Reds - 72%

In the Brumbies case it would be down to jumpers, particularly against the Tahs.........

In the Reds case it would be down to Mafi, particularly against the Brumbies........

The story I heard was that Gordon had moved on from Picone, gone to Dallan Murphy.

Then Piccone went to Dave Wessels and negotiated a deal for a player he didn't manage.

Then Picone used that deal to entice Gordon back to him.
How does that work then? Can’t ARU stop the contract? Can RUPA get involved?
Maybe Gordon’s got buyers remorse and Piccone acted unethically, so can this deal be stopped.

I see a bigger context to the Gordon situation .The Reds didn't and don't have to rush him and I can't see (and no one reliably can) that he would have seen a lot of game time next season. That would be pre-determination in choice, which is , y'know , not conducive to winning Rugby games - and not what Thorn's Reds seem to be about. Plus, they only recently recovered from Jake McIntyritis but have adopted preventive practise so as to avoid relapse risk.

On the other end of it I see a lot of anxiety and a lack of patience - and when you have Will Harrison and Noah Loleiso braining it , for the Tahs and Ponies respectively, then you've lost a little status in the pecking order (nationally....because it is about that in the "all the way" drive ) - and then perhaps the situation is best illustrated as such :

Especially if he’s been promised game time I don’t think any franchises worth their salt would want a player in their squad that’s just happy to play club footy for a number of years, not that there is anything wrong with that but it’s a poor sign of a pro if they are equally content to do so. You play the game to play it at the highest possible level you can.

See that's the whole problem. No one should be promised anything, other than , you have the right to earn your spot.

When addressing the Canberra situation don't forget that Issac Henry is down there in their depth charts as well and was in fact a 10 coming through the path and ultimately went to Wests from a clogged UQ pathway only to have Gordon arrive there at close to the same time (maybe one year apart) but ultimately they found a spot for Henry at 12 ( Reesjan'ing him perhaps) in Premier Grade so they could play Gordon at 10. Cooper Whiteside was also a 10 coming through and of a reasonably similar vintage to Henry who the Dogs ultimately placed at 15.

Anyway .......I'm just saying that for all the Pasitoa speculation , in some ways, Issac Henry may be somewhat of a forgotten man.

And he shouldn't be.

He may not have the automatic "star" power of Pasitoa - but he's absolutely the Right Stuff and tailor made for Thorn's Reds.

I think he was associated with Darth Piccone early in the piece but hopefully it was just "that one time .......in band camp" and that's now all over with.

Beauty, you blokes keep him.

Send us Reesjan.

Imagine how good we would be at rugby if we didn’t prop up three teams.

The sad thing in this all is there’s no official story. (Is there still time for burnt bridges to be rebuilt?)

Really sucks the couriermail parted ways with Jim Tucker.

I’d really like to know the full story on yet another chapter of this fallout with Piccone and the reds
