Why is this our problem? (Tahs lack of talls).

LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is the incumbent, we want the young backrowers earring their spot. If someone is to take his spot they need to displace him. He also plays lock which is very handy. But he has poor defensive technique when he gets tired :(

It’s not your problem at all

What were you offering? I can't remember any more than give us LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) for the benefit of Australian rugby.

I’m not offering anything and there is no us, I don’t work for the tahs mate

Like any and all player movements there would be either monetary compensation, player swap or a combo of both. Why am I needing to spell that out for you? Why was your automatic thought me going “nah yea qld should just hand him over with absolutely no compensation to the tahs and thank them for the opportunity to do so”..........like seriously

I’m not saying anyone should force him, just saying I simply think it would be good for his career and the wallabies?? At what point did this come into a literal thing rather than an opinion about player movement

Sure, I was just going off your original comment when you said "I think it's in everyone's best interest if LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) goes back to NSW", I don't agree its in the Reds best interest, and as fans i just don't think we really know what's in the best interest of the players, theres so much more to consider like family, relationships, coaching, players in the team and the culture of the club.

QLD have some really strong talent coming through that have played together extensively, they don't really need him

NSW need him and guarantees him more game time

Obviously LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) & the Reds organisation see things a lot differently, he only just signed a lengthy extension to his contract. Depth is a key to winning Super Rugby titles. Awww So sad Waratahs.

Big Hanigan is looking to be developing well, focus on him.

He literally just re-signed with the Reds, I’m sure they were in his ear before he re-signed as well, evidentially he preferred to stay

Can't blame him wanting to stay with a better team.
Oh, and thank you Waratahs for not recognizing him at the time the Reds grabbed him, so now you want him back. TOUGH!

Maybe all ‘LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) to the Tahs’ chat should be reserved for the Tahs 2023 thread.

I see Dane Zander is still involved in the Reds squad, might be because Harry Hoopert is carrying a neck injury and might miss the first round. Izack Rodda also reportedly in a race to be fit for round 1, still going through rehab for his ankle surgery.

Interview with JOC (James O'Connor) indicates both Lucas and JOC (James O'Connor) have been training at 10, with Hegarty at 15. JOC (James O'Connor) has also been training at 12.

Dear God, I hope we don't see JOC (James O'Connor) at 10.

It's nice to know we have three flyhalves on call if required. It's such a specialist position.

We'll see by season end. He will be riding the pine.

There's no"riding the pine" in the modern game. I'm sure some weeks he might very well be seen as better used as a finisher. But he'll definitely be starting more games for the Reds and Wallabies than as finisher.

I genuinely don’t think Lukhan will be better than Wilson, Wright, McReight in the next few years (my desired backrow) but he’s incumbent and others needs to take his spot. It’s integral that good sides make younger players earn their keep. I also think Lukhan is much better at lock. I have no idea whether he is a strong scrummager but I like the idea of his weight/power locking our front row - not to mention he defends much better closer in.
