Jeez the hackers really did a number on the Reds website, I’m assuming they’re building a completely new one if its taking this long to get it back online.

Or they can't afford it. Like this web site.

Qld Rugby has been blessed with some wonderful partnerships - Slattery & Lynagh, Horan & Little, McCall & Eales, Wilson, Cockbain & Kefu, Genia & Cooper.

Watching the QPR final I’m wondering if we are seeing another one emerging in Wilson & McReight.

Well - I’ll be careful what I write so as to not give away the result if anyone wants to watch it later (and it’s worth watching) - but watching that game reinforced to be that there are a few gems coming through at the Reds. Wilson good and McReight very good for Brothers whilst I thought McDermott & Hockings very good for Uni, with Campbell pretty strong as well.

Hockings had a blinder and was head and shoulders above the other tight 5 players (pun intended). Wilson needs some coaching so he can be effective at a ruck and maul. When he goes in, he mostly goes in either too high or too hesitantly/awkwardly and achieves little. If he can improve that, he can capitalise on his great mobility. McReight is the real deal and I cannot wait to see he and Liam Wright dominating the loose play for the next decade. Can we call them McReight?

Yep Hockings played a phenomenal game and outplayed his counterparts, best forward on ground IMO.

I’ve been really impressed with him this year. Given he only came in after 3 or 4 injuries (Petaia, Daugunu & Hardy - but I feel like I am missing one).

Guys like him just show we are still producing the raw talent, but we need these guys to really kick on.

It's becoming tough. I would almost prefer LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) go back to Tah-land as I think they would benefit out of him more than anyone.

We're looking at something like

1 Hoopert (unsigned as far as we know)
2 Mafi (unsigned as far as we know)
3 Tupou
4 Rodda (c)
5 LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto)
6 Wright
7 McReight
8 Wilson
9 McDermott
10 Lucas (unsigned as far as we know)
11 Speight
12 O'Connor
13 Petaia
14 Daugunu / Campbell
15 Campbell / Stewart (unsigned as far as we know)

LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is going to find it very, very hard next year even if pursuing lock. He doesn't do the hard yards. In the 2nd row we have Blythe, Rodda, Hockings and now Wood. He is nowhere near these blokes skill levels nor has the workrate necessary.

Wilson is locked @ 8 ; as for the breakaways we've got Wright, McReight, Scott-Young and the "old bloke" Korzyck who in the last few weeks has shown there is life in him yet. That's ignoring the talent carving up 1st grade nipping at their heels.
