Reds 2020

We can be overly harsh on a young man and slow to forget. But the Reds? Been there done that.

If rabbit did sign he'd most likely play at 12, 15 or bench.

But he won't sign. Thorn isn't stupid, it would be crazy hypocritical considering he dumped Slipper & Hunt for coke, not to mention QC (Quade Cooper) because they didn't like each other/he didn't fit.

Brumbies probably his most likely destination
We don't want or need him, and we never have.

Not someone Thorn would want, I would think. Wouldn't get rid of Slipper and Hunt then pick up JOC (James O'Connor).

In saying that though wernt both Hunt and Slipper under his watch? or at the very least occured while they were at the reds?

Bit different to something that has happened previously at a different club

I feel like Thorn would be the type to go - "clean slate here under me but fuck up once and youre out the door"

Yeah I reckon go the 'Tahs. Then he only has to rinse & repeat once more before signing with the Brumbies and he can have all five jerseys.

Hasn’t scored a try for Sale Sharks in 15 matches, averaged only one line break every every second match, averaged one try assists every second game.

Not exactly statistics of a world class outside back, his recent YouTube highlights looked decent, but not the player he was in terms of footwork and speed.

To be worth the risk he presents, he would need to be displaying some exceptional form IMO, too much not a risk for a young team like the Reds
You have summed up exactly why I am sure why the Reds will get him.

I'm not saying we should or shouldn't sign him but I do think we should judge him on who je is and how he's playing now and not who he was ten years ago.
I am, and based on our team, we dont need him at the Brumbies.. I don't see where he would fit in, and if we could afford him.

Would any Australian team really be keen to go down this road again?

If anything I thought the Tahs may in desperation to fill a spot, but I reckon even they would only go there if there is a complete lack
Of other options.

Looking at their roster. I'd sign him. There are not too many players of his quality around (especially if you are paying unders)

Remember he is a west harbour great

I think we wheel in JOC (James O'Connor) and make him eye-ball Brad Thorn.

I back him in as a pretty good judge of how genuine JOC (James O'Connor)'s transformation really is.

If culture is a big thing for Thorn then JOC (James O'Connor) isnt going to be allowed to even drive near Ballymore. No chance.

^^not a bad centre combo if they want to settle Jordan in to super rugby fully via wing/fullback

Doubt they’d get both though

T'eo 12, Jordy 13, JOC (James O'Connor) on a Wing I reckon.

Jordy needs to stay at 13 for mine. This is his team now.

Don’t mind that either. Although he is going to have a long 10+ career at 13, I don’t think it would hurt even if it’s just for the first half of the season to ease him in via the wing. He is going to be amazing and I really want his development to go well
