Reds 2020

I imagine they will move CFS to 13, Campbell to the wing and a combination of JOC (James O'Connor)/Lucas/Hegarty playing 10 and 15.

That’s the two specialist 13s gone now so I don’t reckon there is any others in the squad.

Is that becoming the cursed shirt of Qld Rugby. CFS watch out!

Seriously a real shame. Looked a little better/more settled every game.

A real shame for Paisami, he was growing into that role well. Hopefully only 3 games lost at most with the bye. But CFS is also a specialist 13 and we'll lose nothing there with plenty of wing depth. Just a straight swap with Daugunu coming onto the wing.

Henry played 13 a few times at the Brumbies, but big issue for Paisami is he'll likely miss the head to head with TK in a couple of weeks time.

I was thinking, could this be CFS year? I hope so, he has looked dangerous & I hope he can stay fit.

How is Jack Hardy's rehab going?

Not sure of the criticism of Lucas. He was fine, set up a load of line breaks loads of ticker tackles big. Room for improvement in some aspects of his game as per everyone in the team. He is coming along nicely.

Gutted for Paisami though. CFS has been solid but will need to grab this.

Yep, with Daugunu coming into the starting lineup and CFS moving to 13 I don't think the Reds are that much weaker but there's a certain excitement missing without Paisami there.

It starts with Paiua. Then Paisami. Now CFS.

And you are right. Daugunu has his opportunity to grab too.

Tate Vs Scotty discussion.

Tate is obviously our preferred halfback, but a few things that stood out, was the speed and accuracy of Scotty’s balls in comparison to when Tate come on. Scotty was a bit slower at the breakdown to start but as the game progressed I thought he positioned himself well and was quick at giving good ball. It was pleasing not to see meaningless box kicks. The game flowed better and we kept a higher percentage of possession all game. Thoughts?

I reckon McReight could successfully play hooker. He'd be in the same mould as Dane Coles but without being a complete knob. He's stocky enough and given his ball skills he could get the lineout work right. That way we can have Wright and McReight on the field together as well as a heavy six and eight.

McReight is a Super Rugby level player at flanker. When is the last time he played hooker?

And why is it people always thank changing to hooker is easy?

Any chance JOC (James O'Connor) could end up at 13 (if fit)? Probably doesn't quite fit the game plan we have going at the moment, but I think CFS plays his best footy at 14.

But if we are after someone who runs the angles like Petaia and Hunter, the way Jim McKay wants his players to, then I guess CFS is the option.

Just trying to make room for Hegarty somehow. If JOC (James O'Connor) is fit then it's hard not to pick him.
