Been only able to watch the NRC highlights but CFS is looking pretty prominent for Queensland Country, also looking huge. Has his performances hinted at him challenging to make the top XV next year?

CFS looking fit and in form at a lower level of play? You don't say..

If he has his head and his hamstrings together it's all the better for Queensland, but shit, if history is any indicator I sure wouldn't hold your breath.

Speaking of wingers, what happened to Junior? Reg?

CFS and Nabuli as our wingers is an absolute recipe for disaster. Both have been somewhat found out defensively and more importantly, neither of them can kick. You can get away with 1 of your back three not being able to kick, but if both wingers can only run it back, you're opening yourself to be pinned in your own backyard.

IMO, CFS was ruined partly by being forced onto the wing in his youth. Should always have been a 13.

Anyone know how badly Thor did his knee on the weekend? He posted instagram clip a couple hours ago titled "Laterrrr knee" showing it bandaged up.

he was injured but I am pretty sure he came off the bench for City v Country in Noosa. But wasn't listed originally, nor did he play v Canberra.

Henry Taefu has left for France, which was expected once he was called for Samoa

is that for playing? I know he's there for a holiday (wife and bub are still in Briso) but was curious as to whether he was having 'meetings' there.

Here's the title for all those looking to get behind the paywall. And some excerpt comedy gold in case anyone needed reminding of the last 4 years.

QUEENSLAND REDS SACK COACH NICK STILES FOR DUAL INTERNATIONAL BRAD THORN

"Stiles is contracted for 2018 so will have to be paid out, further raising questions about the QRU board’s operations.

This is the same organisation that appointed Richard Graham, then reappointed him after a “worldwide search” only to sack him.

They then brought in Stiles and Matt O’Connor as joint head coaches only to punt O’Connor but kept paying his contract.

They then brought in former Reds and Wallabies coach John Connolly as an adviser, only to discard him. Connolly then took the Reds to court for unfair termination and won $150,000.

Now they’re cutting adrift Stiles for rookie Thorn, placing immense pressure on the All Blacks legend to deliver quickly next year."

We should just rebrand as Queensland Geordie Shore.

"We are Family" but just like the Geordie Shore crew we're also a dsyfunctional bunch who throw each other under the bus at the first opportunity.

So congrats Brad! Just be sure to win your first 4 matches or you can tell your story walking....

Maybe the powers the be know something we don't, but i doubt it, this seems like a poor decision.. replacing a rookie coach with another rookie coach, this time supported by two coaches who both failed in their time as HC of Super Rugby teams...
