is this the full squad for next year? it seems a bit outside back heavy. i think i would prefer another flyhalf and scrumhalf and maybe another lock/backrower.

Reckon there's a few there who aren't in the actual squad of 30 (??). Laloifi and Tuttle for two. Possibly Mafi and Perese.

Maranta hasn't been announced yet.

Yeah like Reg said there is a few they that are EPS or in some kind of u20's development retainer. Moses Sorovi is the 3rd scrum half, Mack Mason is another 10. Korzcyk plays 4,5,6,8 and remember they signed Angus Scott-Young from the 20's who is another 6/8 and part time lock.

Izack Rhoda is part of the EPS too, isn't he. They really do seem to have assembled a pretty good squad, not just for this year, but going forward.

Confirmation Leroy Houston to be loaned to Bath on a short term contract, apparently the good will of Bath releasing Leroy from the 2nd year of his contract so he could return to Australia was a factor, but as Reg mentioned previously, I'm sure there were also some $$ figures which helped.

And it seems Adam Korzcyk is ready to come back and is likely to be the Brisbane #8

Reds actually have great depth and future potential at lock, with Douglas, Simmons and Neville been the match day 23 in 2017, and Rodda/Tui for going forward.

There's a lot to be said about the Reds recruitment in recent seasons, but locking Rodda and Tui down until the end of 2018 was a brilliant move.

So can anyone name the complete 30 man squad for 2017?
I remember reading a post that said at the time that only QC (Quade Cooper) needed to be confirmed to finalise the 30.
So is it finalised? I can't see any announcements in the Reds webpage.

Out of the squad listed, Tui is a Japanese import so isn't counted, I think Laloifi was only signed for 12 months so unless he was re-signed then he isn't in the squad for 2017. I don't think Jack Tuttle is in the squad, rather in the WTS/EPS.

Also unsure of the contractural status of Taefu and Mason.

What are the chances that Houston decides to stay on in Bath 'for family reasons...'? Doesn't seem the sort of number 8 that Blackadder/Matson would usually go for (mobile, great ball handling), maybe he suits the conditions there.

Is suiting the conditions there an exclusion to him having value in Qld?
