No doubt he has tougher tests ahead - and quite possibly you are right. But he can only play the opponents in front of him, and so far he has done well. I don't think the Ben Daley of even last year would have acquitted himself as well (although on the flip side the injuries seem to have taken their toll on how good he was around the field).

With regards to your rating scale of Wallabies - I get that this is an Internet forum and I am not above being critical. I don't really get the need to bag a bloke in that manner who seems to have worked hard to fix a weakness. Seems churlish to me.

As an aside, with regards to Australian props who struggled against England, he is hardly in an exclusive club there over the last 16 years.

"It is also noticeable to me that Daley appears to be scrummaging well."

He has hardly been tested so far. I firmly believe he will get his head shoved up his backside again this season.

Surely the worst Wallaby in history?

Paddy Ryan... Also a Wallaby and horrible at scrummaging... Daley is better then him

Daley has been falling over for what, ten years?

Rag on him all you like but if he were that bad he wouldn't have been starting in a scrum which has dominated the opposition the last two weeks... Yeah yeah yeah it's 'poor opposition', but that's the whole point isn't it, to be better then your opposition.

It's interesting to go back on social media and this forum to when Frawley was appointed to conduct the review.

There are many examples of people whose opinions I respect mentioned how great he is and he was the right man to lead the review. Most mentioned RG would be gone for sure.

Here we are almost 8 months later, anchored to the bottom of the table with a likelihood of not seeing a win until round 13. With probably a better than 70% chance we have a 1 or 0 win season.

Frawley is now the top man. This week will tell us a lot about both the short and long term future of the Reds.

The news tonight spent as much time on the internet petition to have RG and McCall sacked as the game. I think even Webcke looked sad for the Reds as he read the story.

Anyone have a link to the petition?

I agree that Phil Mooney might be worth consideration for an interim coach (at least until a successor can be scouted). I think his work for the reds in 2008/2009 was probably underrated, although he clearly had taken the young squad as far as he could at the time given his lack of experience. He certainly had the Reds playing an enterprising, exciting brand of footy though. The fans really could use some of that right now.

Carmichael on RG, surely these conversations are to include a 'you're fired' chat..

“Well, last night happened,” he said, referring to the defeat. “It really was disappointing for everybody that we served that up. But that’s the reality, we know that.

“From my part, I’m a businessman, and we’ve had to support a position for some time now and make the best of it because that’s the decision we came to. And so we pushed on.

“But in the next couple of days there will be conversations had.”

Reds set to post $1m loss at the AGM according to one article this morning.

Well done QRU.

Michael 'not-even-subtle-troll' Foley:

“I find there are organisations in footy which often don’t know why they are making calls other than the fact they are satisfying public outcry,” said Foley, a 111-game Reds hooker in his day.
“I suggest that the Queensland Rugby Union is not foolish. To go against public outcry, as they did (by reappointing Graham last August), they must have identified positives they could support to make the team better.

“That’s good management.
“Too often decision-makers make cowardly decisions (to cut coaches) when they expect their coaches and players to be brave.
“Time will tell what the right answer is.’’

The press conference is in there. The silence at the beginning is cringe-inducing.

Translating the RG press I get.

Jono Lance had us pinned well. Means "who stuffed up our international search for a 10?"

Defense was good. Set piece outstanding. We didnt take our opportunities. Means "MOC should be held to account"

And he may not be wrong. Albeit HC should also be held responsible. The time to try MOC as HC was at the end of last season. Swapping to him now will just carry baggage. RG is surely out, but cant simply be the fall guy. There surely must be some change at board level.
