yep, that's definitely the feel I get. Lots of workman like players and I think that will be their approach.

I've got no problems essentially writing this season off as a link year, that is, we're basically back to 2010 with a bunch of kids in the team with nothing to lose.

But, where I draw the line is the far fetched approach that RG spouted all last year. He never gave realistic answers and kept trying to say after 4+ losses that we were aiming for the finals. After the last few years, I just want accountability from our leaders and management. We saw what a breath of fresh air it was by Chieka after the Scotland game, the he personally accepted responsibility for the close game and under-preparedness of the team. I don't think we once heard that from Graham, he merely passed the buck to someone else.

Lagi Setu. Interesting. Promising?

Does anyone have thoughts on his involvement and chances for a successful transition back to rugby at Inside Centre?

We do indeed want the boys to do well and I can only speak for myself but I won't let the board and coach off if they don't achieve the results I expect.

I like your reply mate, and my only question is re your above statement. Why will it be ok to give it to the board and management next year but not this year. RG was there for a while (hired with no advertising or review) , the board and management said they needed a big improvement last year. They hired then sacked John Connerlly and that is apparently headed to the courts (courier mail ) They have a BIG review with zero effect. they finish 13th or something (don't want to check!!) They peddle bullshit about JOC (James O'Connor) and not having a contract with Toulon and where did he go precisely after 1 shitty year?
So are you waiting for it to get worse?

I will go to the games and pay my money but I sure as shit ain't going to support the current Coach, Board or CEO at the Reds.
I for one will never get over watching kHunt captain the team (after Slipper went off) in the trial game last year at Ballymore while Will Genia and other far more deserving players were out there. Bloody awful!!!!

My expectation is that Graham will be sacked after the first six matches (leading to the bye round).

Then we'll take it from there.
On what basis would they sack him?
They completed a review, that decided last years performance was good enough to re appoint him.
How can they possibly go worse than last year?

The short answer is that it's not ok. The reality is though that The powers that be have given RG next year despite what I and many others did to express our utter dissatisfaction.

I'm still angry with the fact that RG is at the helm and the whole (lack of ) process that led to that outcome. The fact that I am looking for positives doesn't make that anger any less valid or real though.

So are you waiting for it to get worse?

No. This question infers that there is something that I could be doing to fix the situation that I'm not. This is the crux of my point. At this stage of the game, there is absolutely nothing I can do about the things at the Reds that are pissing me off. So like I said in my other post, I have a choice. Start getting ready for the 2016 season like I do every year (a mix of blind optimism and enthusiasm) or I can walk away. I don't begrudge any fan for the choices they make, but I'll never choose the latter so it's Super Rugby 2016, here I come.

I guess we just need to close the gate on the Qld Rugby Union's Political strategy as we can't change it and discuss the future of the Reds, allbeit a young team let's get behind them and look to the future as we can't change what has happened in the past.

"When you play for QLD nothing else matters." Does this mean RG is bulletproof and results no longer matter? Or is that an expectation The Reds are trying to foster?

Just on the topic of what the expectations are for the Reds next year, this is an individual thing. But after the fall out of RG being re-signed, Jim Carmicheal was quoted as saying.....

"What we will be measured on next year is winning football games and having sustained success.

The problem is, and based on your own thoughts (+1 btw), when it doesnt happen what do we do?

There is no empowerment here at all. Carmichael must go. Its a more fundamental step than RG.

But as a fan there's no where to point the gun. They do some things so well - NRC engagement, IT stream, EPS. And other things beyond belief, beyond diabolical.

The hatchets will be out after the first game I couldn't see a worse team for the Reds to play first up..

I can't see you winning against the Tahs, and if it's a hiding it could be last season all over again. Mental scars last. Although I wish you guys luck...

I was under the impression that nothing less than a play off berth would be considered a pass mark. Wasn't that from our glorious leaders lips when Graham was reinstated?

That'd be the same mob who asked us to judge on the first game of 2015 and said a win was non negotiable, right?

we can all do something about it and that is join your local rugby premier club if not a member already and tell the president and club delegate at the Qru Agm to vote the board out.

On a more positive note, yep there is some great kids coming thru who in time will continue to develop into some good players, hope we can hold onto them when they develop though. That's the problem with running a development mentality though. The young ones get game time and improve but the finances of the club suffer and you can't hold them. Have the ARU announced the broadcast deal yet. Are the Reds going to get more coin from the Aru? Going to need it.

The Tahs will be without Folau & Skelton for the opening first couple of games. That Tahs team that we will play in RD 1 will look close to something like;

1. Robinson
2. TPN
3. Ryan
4. Mumm
5. Dennis
6. Dempsey
7. Hooper
8. Holloway
9. Phipps
10. Foley
11. Horne
12. Beale
13. Carraro
14. Guildford
15. Kellaway

I can see us beating this team
