Reds are reportedly put feelers out to Japan looking for a short term inside back.. Barnes isn't been considered since his team is in the finals and he is booked in for surgery.

Would have to be an Aussie right? We've already got one Japanese import. Are there many over there?

I think there's room for leniency when it comes to short term contracts to cover injuries and misdemeanours..... I don't think it necessarily has to be an Aussie, although the need for cover is reducing with A.Fainga'a due back, Taps not far behind and Quade earlier then expected.

Is Dan (Compass) Parks available?

Played for all points of the compass in Sydney club rugby, before moving to the UK where continuing that theme he moved around a bit, ending up playing a stack of tests for Scotland. It would seem fitting for him to end up in a Red jumper.

Aussies available in Japan would seem to be:
Mark Gerrard, Andrew Everingham, Gene Fairbanks, Michael Bond, Dallan Murphy, Peter Smith

They are all guys that would be behind players already in the squad. Gerrard might be closest and could fill in at full back and free up JOC (James O'Connor) to the wing. Heaps of wings and inside backs in the squad due to come back soon.

Turner did quite well but a dry pitch where the backs see more ball might be a different story.

The Reds are going to contest the RWC?? Intriguing.....

Oops, I see, as a warm up match for Fiji. Had me going for a second there!

I think Frisby did well also, but I do wonder whether the game plan tested him properly, he did little ball distribution with his main role kicking the ball down field.

He certainly wasn't overawed at 10. The bloke is a very good footballer who plays with enthusiasm and confidence . Would have no issue with him at 10 and JOC (James O'Connor) at 15

As long as we win again this week.

More injured players return in the coming weeks so the Reds can only get better

Still very early to call but Frisby may play himself into the RWC squad if he continues to show some consistency around the field in different positions.

He's probably 4th string halfback option behind (in no order) Genia, Phipps and White. But if he manages to get a few more opportunities at 10 for the Reds and then plays well backing up Genia when Quade returns he may get looked in some utility type role for the Wobs. He is a decent winger at S15 level also.
