I thought Ed was pulling up stumps at the end of the season. From memory he wants to concentrate on this business & also he felt that his body couldn't take it anymore.

He's at the end of his 2 year term as an international but I thought they sought and received an exemption for him to continue playing for them. He may have since decided he was done though.

Do we know anything else about the kid? It's hard to get an objective view of beastly schoolboys - there's always a couple of man-children running about smashing the skinny ones and looking better by comparison.

If he can make NZ Schools (eligibility is an issue, I believe) then we're probably in a better space to judge.
