Pretty sure PAE is signed to the rebels until 2015: http://www.melbournerebels.com.au/news/article/rabodirect-rebels-continue-to-bolster-ranks

The Wiki page for transfers has sources listed for every player, though it does lag behind on some announcements: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_2014–15_Super_Rugby_transfers

With Genia out for the rest of the season there's a chance to see how the EPS options step up, at least off the bench. Hopefully Graham will take this approach in a few other places with the finals off the table.

Doubtful. I'm betting on him being conservative as fuck trying to maintain his reputation, and ironically, the results suffering as a consequence of said conservative approach.

On Scoey and USA Rugger's points also. Surely Pro D2 is a more challenging environment and better development than SS also.

He's 19, he'll be French qualified at 22/3 and can then choose where to make his money - Australia or France. Good luck to him for getting a chance to go forward so early in his career.

If you're looking for a Potgieter I reckon someone Jean Deysel would be great. Very crowded backrow at the Sharks. As long as he doesn't kick anyone in the head his ball running is devastating and he likes to pilfer.

Both he and Keegan Daniel are off to Japan.

Perfect. Potgeiter spends his off-season there too.

The Reds would have to pay the full tab for O’Connor and Hunt because Australian Rugby Union chief executive Bill Pulver said Thursday there would be no contract top-ups from the national body.

Snip

“I can tell you the ARU is not going to sign a contract with James,’’ Pulver said.

“We discontinued the relationship with him a year ago for the right (disciplinary) reasons, in my view.

Fucking oath, Bill.
Hopefully the Reds sign Tomane. From reading the Brumbies 2015 thread I thought he was headed to France for all intents and purposes. We need him for the RWC.

Yep. Keeping Tomane in Oz would be good.

ARU top-ups are mainly targeted at keeping players in Sydney. Lets hope the Tahs can pull a crowd.

Could anyone have seen this situation in 2011? The Reds were destined to achieve further success. But............that's Queensland Rugby for you. Back to the days on the XXXX watching them getting pumped by 30. But I look forward to them getting back to the winning ways. They HAVE to sign JOC (James O'Connor). They need to get Tony Shaw, Stan Pilecki, Mark Loane, RugbyReg or another hard man of Qld rugby to pull him into line if he misbehaves. Bring Phil Kite or Paraka into the squad for fuck sake.

Definitely not the first and I don't think the last team to suffer from the hubris of expecting a coaching team to have a long lasting effect after they depart.

Interesting the Melbourne Demons are on for it too in my view. Currently they have Paul roos coaching who has started to turn things around however he is talking about departing. The view seems to be that he has set them up for future success but I really think unless the next coach is good enough to bring them up on his own, they will suffer out fate too
