Karmichael would be a very special rugby player. Most likely at 12 or 15, and that is where he played at Churchie and was / is the best schoolboy I ever saw.

Absolutely second this. He was a very special player. I'd agree he's still the best schoolboy footy player I've ever seen (KB (Kurtley Beale) would be second).

Unlikely we will ever see him at the Reds but I've always had the feeling he would return to the Broncs. Who knows where he would have gone in union.

Apologies for taking the thread back off topic, got a touch nostalgic at the thought of special K in the blue and grey.

Unfortunately I won't get much of a chance to watch the Reds next season as I've been relocated to Southern Europe (undecided if Spain or Italy at this point) for work but I will try to keep up with what's going on with the squad and hope that I don't have to watch too much of the 11 man code.

I will be very curious to see the development of Toua this year, same goes for Jonah Placid. Time to find a long term 15.

on a side note, those new jerseys look awesome!.

No problems Light - just fly back on weekends

Sounds like a tough gig - Spain or Italy ?????? ENJOY !!!!!

Someone's gotta do it! :( (it seems the memo forgot to inform me that it is currently winter in Spain which is not only cold - BUT I'll also be leaving during the Aussie clean sweep of the Ashes)

But in all seriousness I really hope they broadcast union over there or I'm going to be seriously bored.

I was over in Spain during the 1st and 2nd Lions games - best places to view the games were Irish bars - though they had to open slightly early to catch the games live (due to time difference). There is nothing lonelier than being the sole Australian (surrounded by holidaying brits) at 11am in a dark Irish pub - especially when KB (Kurtley Beale) fell over.

S15 will be tough to watch but the Europe matches will obviously be fine.

I also reached out to local Spanish rugby clubs through Facebook to make contact with enthusiasts in local towns that would know how to get to watch the games.

I've been putting off renewing my Forever Red membership as my new baby comes home on Saturday and I want to get him a Baby Red membership at the same time. Anyone else have the Baby Red or Red Toddler memberships?

It may be a struggle bringing him up to love the Reds in the land of the Tahs, but we'll see how it goes...

Ha, Ha - no doubt he will be infected by the Tah virus if your family stays here long enough.

Meantime - may bubs live to learn and learn to live, and to stay onside - well, most of the time.

All the best to you and your family with the new recruit.

I got my son reds clothes that I always dressed him in. The reds now to him are as natural as the air he breathes.

I became a dad for the first time in September to a beautiful little girl. I had bought a baby Reds jersey off ebay for her and she waited for it to turn up before she decided to arrive! That's when I knew she was a true Reds fan - she wasn't coming out until she had something decent to wear!

I really want to get the Baby Reds membership now but so she has the newer (better looking jersey) and the Reds Birth Certificate but I can't justify spending the cash on another jersey that will probably only fit her for a few months!

It's a bit big for her at the moment but I'm thinking, come S15 season next year it'll be about right! :)

Have no fear Ash, I believe that no matter your address, raising a child as a Reds fan is a truly organic process. It's ingrained in their DNA, it's something they are born with. The part you need to sometimes teach them is the proper hate for all things "Tah" related. This should be made easier by living behind enemy lines. ;)

Queenslanders are born with the chips on both shoulders? I always thought they were acquired over time.
