Another play on from an offside call on the 'Canes. Phipps forces himself over after another display of great running and recycling.
Cippers converts 42 - 20 to the Rebels

Morty looks like he's injured all over as usual - immense game tonight.

Knew I should've bought Phipps. Bloody glad I am getting this recorded by someone as it sounds like a bad one to miss.

Go the Rebels!!!

TSF will be blowing up over this result.

There's an air of resignation actually. Canes = Tahs a bit, if you know what I mean....

Just been over there Ash as live commentary on here has been poor (their's isn't any better) and they have been saying the players have been copying the Brumbies and are revolting against the coach.

Well played Melbourne Rebels. Who would've picked this result after they conceded 3 tries in the first 20 minutes? Well done to Rodzilla for picking up a try on debut.

And well done to the Hurricanes - you've proven that for all your talents, you're still mentally fragile.

Phipps on that performance (and a couple of others this year) has to be firming as the third halfback for the RWC. Burgess better be looking over his shoulder because he could even overtake and become the second choice. Top class performance and clearance of the ball was perhaps the best of any Oz half this year.

Where the fuck did that come from?

I would be looking at CCTV footage in Melbourne TAB's because that can be the only explanation for that turnaround.

All of a sudden Robbie Deans has a few more names to consider. Saffy is top of the list. Then Phipps. Then he has to get creative with immigration and whip up a few passports for Sommerville, Robinson and Delve.

When I saw sportingbet had them at $5 to the Canes $1.16, I thought they hadn't given the Rebs enough credit.

Agree Barbar in order of form at 6 this year:-

Saffy
McCalman
Dennis

I know Elsom hasn't played and all know I haven't been a fan since 2008, by purely on his most recent form I would pick the first two in front of Elsom any day.
