Rebs:

1) Gerrard. Warrior. Simply awesome effort tonight.
2) Cips. A fine S15 general in the making and suits the Rebs style to the ground.
3) Hux. Sorry Rod, my Bad. I won't question you again...

(Show) Ponies:

1) McCabe. Mirror of Gerrard. Great stuff; that tackle and pilfer was one of the best things I have seen for some time and would have made Pocock proud.
2) AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper). Mr. Consistency.
3) Vaea. Good in defense and attack.

Rebels:

Gerrard - Single handedly kept the Rebs in it with brains
Cipriani - Well played chap
Byrns/Vuna - Bone crunching hits, high work rate/good defence, game breaker

Brumbies:

Vaea - showed the way, played like he wanted to win
Mccabe - safe as a gaol
B. Alexander - did well

Huxley was official MotM and from the grandstands, I am inclined to agree with that.

It's interesting that there is such a different point of view from those who watched the telecast.

Huxley was great. I just thought Gerrard and Cipriani were also great and more influential, and hey, better give the standout forwards a look too.

Whatever Cipriani is doing in that late night training - sleepwalking, amateur bartending, protecting others from liquor through his own sacrifice - is working for him.

THE MIGHTY MELBOURNE REBELS
3. Huxley - A lot of doubt with his moving up the line, but he was immense.
2. Delve - A-mazing. He just kept on going and going. You could tell how much it meant to him, right after the game he ran to the southern end and jumped into the Army fans.
1. Mr Chapel Street - Cipriani had laser sights on those legs. A lot of pressure on the final penalty kick and he slotted it with ease.

Hon Mention: Gerrard - Outstanding at FB, especially in the last 10-15 where the Brumbies were pushing a lot. His play to evade two tacklers, break a third and kick to clear was fantastic.

ACT Brumbies

3. McCabe
2. Giteau - Just kept on wanting him to miss.
1. Vaea

Rebs:
3- cips
2- hux (good axis forming there)
1- gerrard (makes a big difference)

Brums:
3- McCabe (about the only brumby worth mentioning)
2- Moore
1- gits (thought he looked better, made some good runs. Imagine how he'd play if they had a halfback)

Rebels:

3 - Cipriani, his kicking was superb.
2 - Delve, I have a little bit of man-love happening for the big Welshman.
1 - Gerrard, Welcome back to Australia you have been missed.

Honorable mention Huxley and Lipman

Brumbies:

McCabe - Fantastic game, a long way ahead of the next Brumbies player.
Vaea - Knew nothing about him before the game but thought it was Willie O out there.
Palmer - Thought he was the most dominant force in the scrum.
