I love his wide running.[/quote
And I would also love to see him run straight at the middle and bust 2 tackles and draw in another 3, then get it back to his halfback who can send to some quality fast ball to 10 who can look for someone with a 12 or 13 on their back who maybe in some space.

Some of the rebels forwards are really starting to stand up. Higgers and Pyle look like rolled gold wallabies.

Woodward looks like he could be a test player one day.

Wow......really? Cmon, let the guy play at least one solid season of Super Rugby before putting that on him. Honestly.....you guys don't have enough great out-side backs already??

Under 20's Darkness player previously. Needs to be here for 3 years to be eligible for a Gold Jumper apparently.

Fox Sports post match were saying that he is interested in Gold.

He was better with the ball, but last week he was due so you're not saying a lot there. Made a good tackle or two, but quite frankly he doesn't hit enough rucks or win enough lineout ball for a second row.

I used to like the bloke, but after you get over the odd flashy thing he does, you'll realise the Tahs are better off without him.

Best scrummaging lock is pushing it. We hardly dominated the Rebels tonight

Cmon....the Rebels scrum was struggling the whole time I was watching. They were getting the ball out quick as they flippin' could on their own feed because they didn't know how long they could the Tahs scrum for......

Tahs were only legal half the time - they stepped around the corner a lot in the first half and only started to drive later in the game

Was dragged out by the ladyfriend so missed all but the first 20 minutes.

Sounds like Higgers had another big game. Did Pyle do his Wallaby chances any good or still too far out of the frame? Stirzaker prove, once again, that he's better than Phipps? Any other notable performances?

Berrick Barnes makes a huge difference for the Waratahs.

Last week, comes on and has a hand in 15 points.

This week, he goes off and they miss a kick he would have knocked over and probably win the game.

Nothing to be taken away from the Rebels with their lone Wallaby (Higgers) up against 10 for NSW.

Legend player..doesn't change that it was a crap interview. He pretty much asked the same question 3 times in 3 different ways.

This is a part of a Quotes from you in this thread. I though I would reuse it for your comment on Sharpes interview he did tonnight.

Hands off. We need a 4th string back up for the AB fullback position.:)

Hahahaha.....good effort but I didn't actually 'put' anything on Sharpe - as opposed to suggesting someone is a future Wallaby after one good game. I didn't even know it was Sharpe actually until someone told me here it was him.

And yes, really. It was a pretty poor interview. After the 2nd question to Dennis, I thought he was gonna run outta things to say......which he pretty much did.

Timani actually played well but due to your predetermined bias you probably didn't see it. He ran well, body height was better than last week, broke the line once and one offload that wasn't held. His defence was excellent including the big hit on jones that led directly to 3 points plus he held up higgers in the first half, there were at least 2 other big hits as well. His work rate was fine and he is the best scrummaging lock in the country. But all this doesn't really matter because according to you he's crap every week.

He is one of the least effective players at ruck time I have ever seen. Poor cleanouts, generally flops instead, like a TH prop who can't get around the ground.

Very close game; good win to the Rebels in the end. Rebels still shooting themselves in the foot with errors once they get in front; that sort of experience will come.

Higgers had a great game, and Woodward has promise. Rebels defence is starting to tighten up.

Well done to the Rebels. They were substantially better on the night and their crowd was great, even on the TV.

Back to the old, bad ways from the Tahs. Too much fart-assing around with the ball and not enough direct attack followed by quick recycles. That 22 phases that Marto was obsessing over showed good defense from the Rebels, but the attack from the Tahs was woeful. No structure, no plan. Dennis needed to step up and get the forwards organised and Foley the same for the backs. That, to me, was an excellent example of just how far he has to go as a flyhalf. Often he looked dangerous with the ball, but he doesn't get the attack into shape when it's needed.

More generally, they failed to turn half chances into real chances and that killed them. Sloppy with the ball, some poor turnovers and some terrible defense out wide put them on the back foot all night. I did think, though, that the Tahs did not get the benefit of penalties from a clearly dominant scrum.

And yet, even with all the errors, the Tahs could still have won a game they didn't deserve to take. Those are the games the Reds and Brumbies have been putting away.

Hooper had one of those games where he just couldn't make an impact at ruck time, and when he tried he just gave away penalties. He has too much energy sometimes; looks like a bit energiser bunny.

Thought the ref let much too much go at the ruck time for both teams. Some of the stuff was painful; guys loitering offside getting in front of the halfback, laying over the ruck, playing the ball on the ground/knees. One was blatant in front of the AR early in the first half with a team hot on attack.

Thought Palu was lucky to escape a yellow, for me that's a yellow 9 times out of 10. Silly play.

../...snip .../.

The Ponies have drawn 2 and been beaten by the Tahs in a close game. They have not been putting teams away.

Fortunately both teams were playing a lot of rugby too so it didn't bog down.

He really could have gotten a better grip on the game. There was a shit load of chirping from the Rebels, but I also thought Higgers worked the ref much better than Dennis who never really seems to get his point across.
