Pretty poor reff'ing display all up tonight, looks like he has lost control of the ruck and is playing a very long advantage

You get a card for professional fouls. It would be terrible obviously, but technically it could have been a penalty try. Interestingly Karmichael Hunt did the same thing while playing in France and it lead to a penalty try (though no card).

No he didn't. He got carded in his first game and didn't know that meant he had to go off.

Can't recall if he got a card for it or not.

It is as dumb as a former rugby player playing soccer picking the ball up and running with it.
