I've been at AAMI for a number of full houses, including derby A-League and Socceroo matches, but this one will almost certainly take the cake for atmosphere.

Hopefully the locals get behind the Rebels but I suspect it's going to be a sea of red in terraces.

Really excited to see what the young Rebels can deliver; no shackles, enterprising and exciting rugby on a Tuesday night. What more can you ask for?

The Rebels are probably the best chance of grabbing a win against the Lions, all things considered. A team relatively unaffected by the Wallabies up against the visitors readying for the final Tests.

I like your enthusiasm Stu, but if the Rebels get within 20 of the Lions I will be impressed.

Based on tonight's effort Stu, I think you might want to reconsider. The Lions will put 120 points on the Rebels if they play like they did against the Ponies.

We're the rebels really that bad ?

rebels will obviously play against the lions b team as the lions have a test a few days later.
however, lions will still be set piece strong and i think the rebels would be wise to steer clear of scrums.

Saffy is out, won't be back so no point even thinking that. Would like to see Situati start as his a powerful runner to match up against the Lions.

If Pyle isn't fit be will get blown out of the park, really missed his work rate around the park and line out ability against the Brumbies.

Chomping at the bit to see the boys take on the Lions. The Brumbies have set the standard.

We need to go one better and claim the bonus point try!

One of the lippier blokes at work is a Pom who has been out here for about six months and will be playing for Hammersmith and Fulham which was his old club side in the UK. Might have to head down and see if the Powerhouse boys can shut him up a bit.

Loving this promotion for the tour. This is on the flightpath from Sydney to Melbourne.

Want a big game from Pyle to show he has "it"

Had a good chat to Delve, Inman and Pyle after the open training run yesterday. They are chomping at the bit to get out there on Tuesday.

Pyle in particular looks ready to rip heads off.

The boys looked really sharp at training and while I thought Phipps was a chatty bugger, he is a mute compared to Burgess. Luke seems to have settled in really well.

If the Lions think this will be another training run, I have a feeling the young Rebels will disabuse them of that thought very quickly.

Parling is out because O'Connell has a broken bone in his hand so Parling is required for Saturday.

Match up of the game - Inman v Tuilagi.

That should be a cracker. Two big bodies going toe to toe. I think Tuilagi will do Mitch for pace but Inman will be better defensively and at the breakdown.

A full Stockade and Lions in Melbourne. Woot Woot!
