For Cummins to miss 6-8 weeks it must be a bad tear of hamstring. I can't see a cork to hamstring keeping someone out for 6 to 8 weeks. I assume then that Cummins has injured his hamstring at the same time as he has been tackled and that is why hamstring has been torn worse than normal.

Wow when the Rebels players get injured they really get injured, particularly soft tissue / muscle injuries: Metcher, Harris and now Cummins plus Sefa with his leg.

From the RUPA website (http://www.rupa.com.au/news/the-players/stat-attack-round-five-2016)

The Rebels have won their last two against sides from New Zealand and are aiming for three consecutive wins against teams from across the Tasman for the first time; however they have lost three of four against the Highlanders despite averaging 24.5 points against them.
The Highlanders have conceded only nine points in the first half of their last three matches, though they’ve conceded 48 points in the second half of those fixtures. They’re working very hard to defend their title this year, making more tackles per game (138.5) than any other side; these teams also rank 2nd and 3rd for kicks from hand and 5th and 6th respectively for points scored, so they’re a good match up for one another.
The Rebels have already used 30 players in their four matches this season, with just 10 players starting every fixture. Whether they call upon Captain Nic Stirzaker to start this week following a successful return from injury off the bench against the Sunwolves is one of the tough decisions for Tony McGahan and his coaching staff; scrumhalf Ben Meehan has scored three tries already in 2016 and impressed with his sharp distribution and clever kicking game.
Their ability to win lineouts of opposition throws was impressive in Tokyo, with Adam Thomson (2) and Luke Jones (1) getting the job done in the air, and with four former Highlanders in the squad (Tamati Ellison, Scott Fuglistaller, Culum Retallick and Thomson) they’ll be confident of knowing how their opponents will go about it despite not playing them in Melbourne since 2013

EDIT: just noticed 20. Dixon, not sure why you'd do that.

I can only assume it is a bit of rotation policy of Jamie's WOB, I imagine Dixon would of been pretty worn out after last few games, he does have a bloody high involvement, The question is for me who is Wilson on the wing?

^^^^^^^^ He's very much what you'd call a journeyman: born in Twuranga, briefly a NZ 7's player (2012) then went to UK & qualified for England 7's. Also with Sharks (SA version) last Super Rugby season & Otago last ITM Cup.

On a side-note, why do headline writers insist on calling everyone who's ever laced up a boot a "star" when they're clearly not? Or anyone who's ever worn 10 in Union a "playmaker" even when they're mostly a wing/ fullback/ centre?

Resting him because the quality of the opposition allows it.

I suspect the Highlanders will tear through the Rebels, a cricket score i wouldn't be surprised.

Well if we go on your recent Rebels tipping form that makes the Rebels certain to win but I suspect you might be right this time. I would be happy with a BP and over the moon if we caused an upset.

This will be interesting, say what you like but Kiwi teams don't like Melbourne when it comes to Union. Even while the Rebels were whipping boys they have always managed a win or two against the NZ sides travelling here. All 5 teams have lost here at some stage so hoping for another upset.
