Rebels 2023

Rebels attacking coach might be heading to Japan. An offer too good to refuse. If goes ahead would be interesting to see who would come in

Looks like Hamish Stewart is not coming to the greatest City in the world. Perth instead?

Kerevi now a stronger chance of a 5-star stint?

Getting real spicy between the Reds & Rebels.

I'm sure the Force may have been in a better position to negotiate a release with QLD. I wonder if there was an element of the Reds more willing to work the Force to spite the Rebels as well.

Force also had a real need a play maker is Pasitoa getting injured last week.

yes, not so happy Reds blocked the move to Melbourne but happy (or well rewarded ?) for him to go to the Force. ah well it's a competitive market- apparently
The Reds confirmed Stewart's release with a sly shot at the Rebels as they deal with salary cap pressure

"The Western Force made the request through the appropriate channels. They had a need with some injuries and departing inside backs," Reds GM of Rugby Sam Cordingley added.

“We have good depth at centre and some salary cap pressure with a large contingent of national players, so this is a good result for all parties.

“We’d like to thank Hamish for his commitment to Queensland Rugby over the past six years and we wish him all the very best with his move west.”

Sam Cordingley has a grudge by the sounds of it. Can't keep up with the politics at the Reds at the moment, no one seems happy.

or perhaps the Force just followed the correct channels?

Some very obvious passive-aggression from Cordingley. Anyway, Happy Stewart made it out alive and probably has a better shot at 10 at the Force. Best of luck to him.

Ironically had the Rebels approached the Reds management rather then directly approaching a player under contract, they could have had themselves another signing.

Positive outcome for the Force given injuries, and Stewart chasing more time at 10.

Must be a weird situation from Hamish’s point of view; planning on moving to Melbourne with a good mate yet his employer through spite changes his destination to other side of the country. Weird world is sport.

Ive been quiet on the whole thing because I dont think either franchises have acted the best they could, if this was the brumbies this whole cluster f**k would never have happend. Good luck Hamish, he is a solid underated Super Rugby player & deserves to his oppotunity & doesn't need to be put in the middle of 2 teams in a d*ck messuring comp
